We're getting stuck into the painting this weekend alongside The Army Painter team as they begin teaching us how to paint the Army Painter way and get some armies down onto the tabletop.

We look ahead to how we're going to paint up these miniatures we get a look at what Army Painter have to show off using their techniques.

As you can see there's plenty of ways to get your miniatures looking superb with their methods and we're going to learn more about that across the three days here at BoW HQ.

We stop in with The Army Painter guys who are going to be guiding us through things this weekend.

You're going to be learning all about different techniques and so we thought it would be ace for you to know the fellows getting you stuck into the ways to paint quick armies.

The Army Painter guys sit down and go through some tips and tricks for assembling your RuneWars miniatures.

Considering that they are made of a soft plastic you have to use some techniques that might not be similar to what you've been doing in the past.

This includes looking at what you need to do when it comes to cleaning up mould lines and more.

We've still got some Hobby Weekender folk coming in to start building their armies.

Some of have been tinkering away getting some paint down onto miniatures too and you can watch out for a video on base coating, spraying and more down the line.

We get some tips from the Army Painter guys about how you go about Priming your army.

There are some things to learn about the way in which the spray works and indeed some top tips afterwards about the way in which you can use the spray.

Remember the spray and stick method and indeed how much you're putting on your models.

We close in and find out what folks are going to be working on over the last few hours.

People have been getting some paint down on their models after the primer stage and people are powering on with loads of epic pieces already.

It's wild how quickly some of the models are coming together.

We stop in with Jonas to learn about how you work out those bendy spears and turn them into good thrusting weapons.

This technique requires very, very hot water so make sure to be careful when you're working away.

Join John as he gets stuck into a painting tutorial, painting up the Daqan Spearmen from the RuneWars box.

This is a pretty in-depth tutorial so grab a cup of tea and get stuck into this one to find out how you can get some awesome looking Spearmen.

We talk about some of the techniques that we can start to use when approaching painting your miniatures with base coats.

With that in mind, how do you approach the base coating stage?

We're really getting stuck into the painting now and that means that some folks have pushed on and got loads of paint down onto their miniatures.

It's actually quite refreshing to be able to sit down and just paint for a few hours and engage with your fellow hobbyists as you do so.

In the true tradition of Fantasy on the tabletop we roll a D20 and find out who the lucky hobbyist is...

We get stuck into the power hour as it were and push on with more of our miniatures.

It's great getting all manner of our techniques we've learned from the Army Painter guys into practice.

Some of us are even getting some of the units for RuneWars finished!

Maybe this isn't going to be as sedate a Hobby Weekend as we thought.

We focus in on some more of the work being done by the painters. They been beavering away for a while now and are looking forward to some grub.
