NEW Sculpts Coming To Firelock Games’ Piratical Blood & Plunder
April 7, 2026 by brennon
Firelock Games has recently launched their new Kickstarter project for Blood & Plunder, their pirate wargame. A Decade of Plunder brings a tide of new miniatures AND a new supplement to this game set during the Golden Age of Piracy.
A Decade of Plunder // Blood & Plunder
This wave of releases is a celebration of the original line of miniatures from ten years ago! This features a huge update to the original line-up with over 150 brand-new sculpts, including miniatures from the original Kickstarter. All of these now come in the new high-quality resin by Firelock Games, designed as single-piece miniatures that you can get painted and ready for the tabletop very quickly.
Spanish Army Box // Blood & Plunder
There are Army Boxes for all manner of different nations that were fighting during this period of history. The basic pledge for the Kickstarter campaign gives you one of the Army Boxes (shown here) but you can also level up to get yourself the supplement for this Kickstarter and Unit Cards as well.
English Army Box // Blood & Plunder
Each set of miniatures comes with a Commander that has been designed to suit the nation in question, plus a bunch of swaggering sailors who will act as your true during your initial games. If you pledge at the Duelling Captains pledge, then you'll get everything that a new player needs to dive into the game, giving you everything for you and a friend at a discounted price.
Dutch Army Box // Blood & Plunder
French Army Box // Blood & Plunder
As well as the new miniatures for the various Army Boxes, you can also get the new expansion called Rise of the Buccaneers: Jamaica. This explores the early days of the Buccaneers who sailed out of Port Royal plus the fighting that went on in the Jamaican interior between the Spanish Guerrillas, Cimaroons and the English invaders that had just established their stronghold.
Cimaroon Army Box // Blood & Plunder
Native Americans Army Box // Blood & Plunder
In addition to all that, you'll also be able to get a Kickstarter limited custom Activation Deck, a Unit Deck to go with the new book we mentioned and a new ship, the Corbeta! This should give you an excellent starting point for those diving into Blood & Plunder for the first time. It could also be a way for you to fill the gaps in your collection if you missed out during the original release of the game.
Unaligned Army Box // Blood & Plunder
There is also a great set of characters being unlocked over the course of the campaign that introduce a bunch of ways for you to play out some of their high moments (and their low moments) during your campaigns.
New Characters // Blood & Plunder
You can get all of the miniatures individually as Add-Ons during the campaign but you can also get all of the original nine characters if you like! A great way for you to style a Blood & Plunder collection.
If all of this sounds great to you, you could just decide to go All-In with all of the different factions, the Rise of the Buccaneers book, the new ship, decks of cards and more.
All-In Pledge // Blood & Plunder
There are also, as always, a bunch of Stretch Goals and more for you to unlock as part of the campaign. I think this is a great celebration of the Blood & Plunder game after a decade of fighting on the tabletop. You get loads of those classic miniatures, redefined and updated in high-quality resin, plus that new supplement for equal measure.
Are you going to be picking these up from Firelock Games on Kickstarter?

Yowza! These are great-looking!
i went in on the last B&P KS. got the product, never opened it. a crime some might say! but i simply havent had time and my friends dont play it. the whole lot is still in the shrinkwrap all these years later.
Do I need more Blood and Plunder stuff.
Yes, of course I do.
B&P is increasingly not for the light-of-wallet, but I will say that their newer resin sculpts are really clean & surprisingly durable.
