Two New On Bloody Ground Historical Rule Sets On The Way

WiP Games and Miniatures have shown off the newest addition to their On Bloody Ground Historical wargaming rules collection, plus another set of rules that are in the works. They really are making rules for all sorts of different periods of history.

Alexander's Successors // On Bloody Ground

The first of these sets of wargaming rules covers the period of Alexander's Successors, looking at 281-47 BC. There are twelve army lists included with the book that allow you to build armies for the Ptolemaic Empire, Seleucid Empire, Antigonid Empire, Epirot, Pergamine, Bactrian Greek, Indo Greek, Parthian, Hellenistic Greek, Galatian, Maccabean or Pontic armies. That's a lot!

All of this is based on the very successful On Bloody Ground rules, which are quick and easy to pick up. All of the additional books from WiP Games and Miniatures then add-on a few rules here and there to suit the period.

Alexander's Successors is coming out at the start of July and will be followed by The Italian Wars, coming in late July or August.

Prepare to wear your finest slashed silks and fight your way through some clashes on the continent with this new set of rules coming later in the summer. I think it's great that WiP Games and Miniatures are doing so much to cover the various periods of history that people are interested in and some that are perhaps on the fringes.
