Paul Hicks Previews Expanded Outremer Medieval Miniature Range
October 19, 2026 by brennon
When The Barons' War: Outremer hit Kickstarter, it was incredibly successful, but the range of 28mm miniatures wasn't fully rounded out. So, Paul Hicks has been sculpting like a man possessed to fill out the range with all of the miniatures they originally envisioned as part of the collection.
Bedouin Commander // Paul Hicks Miniatures
This new collection of 28mm miniatures fills out the range and gives you more options for when you're diving in and playing out your battles during the Crusades. There are fifty-seven new miniatures on the way that will go up for pre-order between 1st November and 31st December. The idea is that they will then be produced and released in April of 2027.
Arab Commander with Falcon // Paul Hicks Miniatures
There is a full list of the miniatures that Paul Hicks is aiming to release on his Facebook Group if you want to go and check it out. But, the idea is that it will provide you with miniatures for the Bedouin, Arabs and the Frankish forces that are all on their way to the fighting in Outremer.
Native Frank Veteran Sergeants // Paul Hicks Miniatures
This is just a small selection of the different miniatures that Paul Hicks has been working on. As you might have imagined, they are all incredibly well-detailed and packed full of character. With The Barons' War and Outremer being a smaller-scale game in terms of the number of miniatures you bring, I like that you've got lots of characterful characters to really sell the story. It's more fun to paint, too!
Mailed Arab Archers // Paul Hicks Miniatures
Each of the three collections that are getting miniatures will feature new character options as well as armoured and unarmoured warriors on foot. The Lazarus Order of knights are particularly interesting in that they were the knights suffering from leprosy who continued to keep fighting. They viewed themselves as the true "living dead".
Military Order Lazarus Foot Knights // Paul Hicks Miniatures
As well as some of the typical miniatures that you'd expect, like foot knights, armoured and unarmoured infantry and regular cavalry, Hick has also been hard at work on plenty of fun things like the Bedouin Camels (you can see their commander at the top of this article), who come armed with spears and bows.
Arab Knights on Horse // Paul Hicks Miniatures
This is looking like an excellent new addition to the Outremer range and a good way for Paul Hicks to christen his new website. If you ever wanted to do more in Outremer for The Barons' War then this is going to be the way to go. You can keep an eye on the website HERE for more details as the team works through the process.
Are you in need of camels and leper knights?

SWEET!!! these look excellent
Really awesome minis! How have I never heard of the Lazarus Order of Knights? Gotta check those guys out, now!
Also, the guys that are suppose to have shields on their left arms…I want to leave the shields off and put coffee cups in their hands, instead.
