The Peasantry

After a lot of clipping and gluing, I’ve now got a lot of peasants. You need these in Barons War as a certain percentage of your army must be cheap, green troops.

We have some long bows

Some sharp, pointy sticks

A rabble hoard, armed with either hand weapons or improvised two-handed weapons

Should I start a new historical period? Do I need a lot of new models to paint? Do I have time to have a project on this? The answer’s almost certainly no to all of those questions but I went ahead and did it anyway.

I picked up the Barons War starter set which comes with a lot of lovely models in the box as well as some barricades, counters and the rule book. I also added some mounted knights from Wargames Atlantic and a Victrix bowmen/crossbowmen set as well, just to give some options.

Time to start building.
