Nice.
As I said when the minis were first shown, its all about the colour scheme, neither orxs nor forgefathers suited the bright colours at all, I’ve only gopt one model so far, the orx hero because its brilliant, and I must admit to be contemplating painting him with a khaki brown/beige toned skin rather than green.
Looking good, love the way the Marauders have been painted with the lighter skin tones. Makes them feel more like a side that has been fighting in darkened space ships away from the sun light. The Forge Fathers too look great with the glowing red and stylised armour. Shall be good to see these guys on the table top fighting it out.
BoW Ben
Ah so now I see what they are doing with all the cash they are raking in with the Backstage money. 🙂
Cheers on the new mini’s BoW! Looking forward to the excellent demo’s that are forthcoming!
We want battttttle reporrrrrrrrrrrts
I call that Forge Father colour scheme ‘Shining Heroes of Asgard’ myself – it suits their advanced level of technology in the fluff well. The red is a nice touch, reminds me of Grey Knights (might be worth adding some runic heraldry on the leader’s cloaks).
Looking great.
Not bad. I like the fathers tank. It looks clean and has a nice choice of color over all on both armies.
maybe not being to scale with 40K is a good idea…..it means you can use them to play Warpath….the game there designed for.
What annoys me is all the oh lets convert them to 40k….tbh its a terrible game now , and for me Warpath is a honest attempt….Im converting my Marines to Warpath….much sexier…
If they’re designed for Warpath .. then why are the Orx and Human army lists suspiciously based around 40k army lists lol.
It’s great that Warpath has its own rules that are being helped made by fans, but let’s not pretend it’s anything more then a bonus.
The dumbest, most ill-advised thing Mantic can do is make them far off scale from 40K.
Really nice colour schemes, hope to see them in some videos soon. The Orx especially look a bit more subdued than the official mini’s which suits their more realistic (for an imaginary sci-fi universe) proportions. Still can’t decide how I’m going to do mine, was all set to try the yellow/black hazard type forgefathers but keep thinking it would look better on the Orx.
