It's OTTWeekender time! In this week's show, we talk about the newly revealed Starter Set for the next edition of Bolt Action where the fighting moves to the Battle Of The Bulge. Brand new plastic kits for the US and the Germans are on the way alongside a reworking and updating of the core rules for the most well-known World War 2 wargame.

Warlord Games are taking pre-orders this weekend for the new third edition of Bolt Action. The new Rulebook alongside the brand new Starter Set, Battle Of The Bulge, are available for you to snap up ahead of its 26th September 2024 launch for the most well-known World War II wargame.

Crooked Dice has been previewing some of the brand new 28mm Fantasy miniatures that will be joining their collection soon. This will be a multi-part metal kit allowing you to make a band of either corrupt or dashingly valiant (probably corrupt) Men-At-Arms and Town Guard for your games.

Wargames Atlantic, alongside Andy Hobday and the Warhost team, are going to be releasing some new plastic sets soon for use in The Barons' War and other 28mm Medieval wargames. Two additional sets are joining the Foot Knights. 

We check out some ace Fallout characters, a stunning unit of Space Marine Terminators and also some very tiny terrain which has come together really nicely, packed with detail!

Lucid Eye has been releasing some awesome new miniatures for Savage Core 2 as well as the rules for the game. There is a great collection of beasts for their Pulp skirmish game but you could also use these for the myriad of other games out there like Frostgave for example!

I've recently been able to digest the new Core Book, Spearhead rules and more for Games Workshop's latest edition of Warhammer Age Of Sigmar and whilst I don't think that it's going to suddenly turn the most stalwart and resolute of wargamers into fans of The Mortal Realms, it feels like it will be enough to bring the curious into the game and deliver a satisfying experience at the tabletop.

Battlefront Miniatures teased new plastic 15mm Soviet Infantry for World War III: Team Yankee at the start of the year. Now, they have revealed the 15mm US Infantry that will be coming soon to support your Cold War Gone Hot battles on the tabletop. 

CMON has previewed another set of A Song Of Ice & Fire Tabletop Miniatures Game 32mm Fantasy miniatures coming out this year in September. The Greyjoys are going to be getting some reinforcements in the form of the Iron Victory Crew. 

TTCombat has had a variant of the Shaltari Warstrider available for you to snap up recently for use in Dropzone Commander. The Aaru Jaguar/Lynx Warstrider is available on their website with a few different options for you to choose from in your 10mm Sci-Fi wargames. 

GCT Studios have released their new miniatures for July and their awesome 35mm scale Fantasy skirmish game, Bushido. There are some great new characters in the mix as well as some rank-and-file soldiers joining the cause. 

Warlord Games have announced their newest Soldier Of Fortune miniatures for the month of July. Sticking with the theme of Ancient armies marching to war, we have Hannibal Barca - Scourge Of Rome for use in your 28mm wargames like Hail Caesar. 

John dives into an unboxing and review of the British Starter Set for Flames Of War: Great War by Battlefront Miniatures. The Mitchell's Marauders set was re-released recently and with the Battle Of The Somme beginning on this very day (1st July), it seems apt that we should start to look through the miniatures for use in 15mm Historical wargames.

TTCombat are taking pre-orders for a couple of new sets of figures for use in their 32mm wargame, Carnevale. The Knights Of Silence are now stalking the streets and canals of Venice looking for the enemies of the Vatican. 

Games Workshop are continuing to take pre-orders for the new edition of Warhammer Age Of Sigmar this weekend. Whilst last weekend was all about the Launch Set, this weekend will be for those who want to dive into The Mortal Realms via a different avenue with existing armies.

Para Bellum Games has added a new set of Conquest miniatures to their webstore for pre-order. We start with the new 35mm Fantasy miniatures for the Sorcerer Kings and the towering Mahut which is going to smash aside any foes in your way! 

Warlord Games has released a new set of Pike & Shotte characters for use in your English Civil War (and the Thirty Years' War) clashes on the tabletop. These 28mm miniatures all come in metal and cover a range of characters from all sides of the conflict.

Warcradle Studios has previewed the new releases coming to Dystopian Wars in the month of July. There are some legendary additions to the range coming up next month for the Crown and the Commonwealth. 

Gerry and Ben get stuck into a Middle-earth Strategy Battle game clash. In this Let's Play the Rangers of Gondor have been called to ambush a band of Morannon Orcs sent forth to ravage the lands of Minas Tirith. Will these Rangers get the upper hand on their foes or will the forces of Sauron win the day?

Games Workshop are closing in on the start of pre-orders for the new edition launch box for Warhammer Age Of Sigmar. The Skaventide boxed set is coming soon featuring the new Stormcast Eternals and Skaven but we also got some more miniature previews over the last few weeks that we need to catch up on!

Another preview popped up recently for the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game from Games Workshop which is heading to Arnor soon with a new supplement later this year. We've seen the forces of Good and the brave Arnor heroes holding their ground but now we get a glimpse at the evil forces dwelling in the shadows.

Hobday & Hicks have been showing off more wonderful previews ahead of the launch of their The Barons' War: Fantasy Skirmish Kickstarter in July. This 28mm range will be starting with the Orcs and Elves and we got a look at some great new figures.

It's OTTWeekender Time! On this week's show Gerry tempts John into the Franco-Prussian War with an epic game that mixes tabletop skirmish and real-time strategy together to produce a system that constantly asks questions about your tactics on the tabletop. Could this be the system needed to get John to start and break Gerry's resolve to stay away from yet another period?

I've been a bit of a fan of The Lazy Forger's work ever since I found his blog which led to the Full Spectrum Dominance game and eventually Jack (The Lazy Forger) winning the OnTableTop Award in 2022 for the game. Starting with two factions and a mountain of terrain they've slowly been working on some amazing new factions like the Union and Corpos but they can all move aside as the Reclaimed are on their way!

Wyrm Forge has been producing some fantastic miniatures for other people for a long time, casting in metal, resin, and even 3D printing they are masters of their craft. Late last year they took over some of the Westfalia sculpts to begin producing their own miniature ranges and this has been followed by their own sculpts. The newest of these is for the upcoming set of Delta Station sci-fi character models.

Gerry breaks open the first of Wargames Atlantic's Age of Chivalry boxes which has been made in collaboration with Andy Hobday and Paul Hick of Footsore Miniatures & Games for their Barons' War skirmish game. He takes a look over the brand new Foot Knights (1150-1320) box which is packed full of medieval warriors ready to take the field for your wargames.
