I bought this set two months ago and can personally attest that it is awesome. I painted it a little differently, and used red stars instead of white stars, but definitely some of my favorite minis in my collection.
I need SU-85s, SU-85Ms, and SU-100s. I built them as all as SU-100s. 😀 When I need SU-100s for a game, I naturally use them. When I need the other smaller-gun versions, I use these again and just say the guns are “Heroically Proportioned!”
The accessory sprue is also great. Like I said, I built my SU-100s two months ago and have built/painted 30+ tanks since then, and I’ve been steadily using little bits off these sprues … and I’ve still got tons of extra parts left! 😀
I’ve uploaded some photos of what our group has done with the figures from this boxed set.
Hope you like!

“Heroically Proportioned!” just like (odd ball) then do they have paint shell as well. Lol
Oh … hell yeah. Donald Sutherland in Kelly’s Heroes! Why can’t I put more than one karma point for that comment!?? We need more karma points so we “don’t get wit with those negative waves so early in the morning.”
I have some Shermans coming in the mail soon . . . should I make one with loudspeakers on the side of the turret so “we can play music very . . . LOUD. It kind of . . . calms us down.”
Special rules for paint shells? “When we fire it it makes . . . pretty pictures. Scares the hell outta people.” 😀
In answer to the “Did they use the SU 100 in Vietnam” the following evidence would suggest that they did:

Also worth noting are the North Vietnamese driving captured ACAV’s and the PT-76’s with tank riders!
I am really happy with the new plastic kits from Battlefront. My teen age sons love them!
(Much easier to work on IMO.)
Excellent product.
Here are the rules for Kelly’s Heroes from Wargames Illustrated, just for fun!
http://www.flamesofwar.com/Portals/0/all_images/WargamesIllustrated/WI291-WEBKellysHeroes.pdf
These rules are epic! Damn, they almost got everything from the movie. To quote Carroll O’Connor: “Have you ever seen enthusiasm like that in all your lives, they even got the damned GRAVEDIGGERS in there!”
We’ve actually tried reenacting certain scenes in Kelly’s Heroes in a few systems, A&A Minis, Panzer Leader, and most recent Valor and Victory. The breakthrough village scene works well, the train tunnel overrun scene works well, and even the bridge crossing scene works well . . . but sooner or later you have to put one Sherman up against three Waffen SS Tigers . . . and things go downhill from there. 🙁
Well, no one said that robbing a bank behind enemy lines would be easy… 🙂
Certainly not. Like Telly Savalas said … “You know with these Tigers, this mission goes ABOVE AND BEYOND the call of duty!”
“That’s right, Joe. Sixteen million above and beyond.”
What happened to the For the Win video when Dave came up in March? Really need some Dave batreps!!
Ditto!
