New Miniature Previews For The Silver Bayonet Venice Expansion
August 20, 2026 by brennon
A new expansion is coming to The Silver Bayonet later this year in October and alongside that, the traditional bevvy of miniatures will be joining it from the folks at North Star Military Figures. You'll soon be heading to Venice to uncover The Alchemist's Legacy.
Italians // The Silver Bayonet
Alongside that will be some new miniatures for you to pick up and add to your collection for use in games of The Silver Bayonet. More Italians are gathering to stomp around the canals of Venice in search of alchemical secrets, with a good selection of different figures to fulfil various roles in-game.
The Officer and Agent Provocateur look particularly awesome, especially alongside the Native Guide miniature for the Italians. You can tell that she's had to deal with a fair few pesky superhuman nightmares in her time and told them where to go.
North Star Military Figures also previewed The Vatican who are also going to be sticking their oar in when it comes to your adventures in Venice.

Again, the miniatures look excellent and I love how The Silver Bayonet figures are that perfect blend of the Historical but with that fantastical edge. I think the nun with the gun is brilliant, for example. There's also a monk who seems like they've seen far too many winters and the bottom of too many bottles. Maybe not a good idea to give him a gun. There's also a good pair of priests in there who are going to work out that exorcisms are very helpful.
The Silver Bayonet: The Alchemist's Legacy
All of this is linked to a new book from Osprey Games called The Silver Bayonet: The Alchemist's Legacy.
Venice: The Alchemist's Legacy // The Silver Bayonet
The Alchemist's Legacy by T. C. Stephen and illustrated by Brainbug Design has your soldiers descending into the occult underworld of Venice, filled with grimoires and relics. Someone, or something, is hunting through the city, killing folk, and then the Venice Civic Guard are out there raiding bookshops and libraries, arresting scientists and physicians at will.
Over the course of a solo and competitive campaign, you'll dive into this new mystery and learn more about the alchemical arsenal that is at your fingertips. Will you make good use of it to deal with the monsters and shadowy organisations working in the darkness of Venice's many streets and canals?
It all sounds very fun and different from the adventures for The Silver Bayonet in the past. They have often dealt with larger, rural locations in the wilds of various countries. The Alchemist's Legacy roots you in the twists and turns of urban life, which should prove an interesting challenge and a fun terrain goal.
Are you going to be picking up these miniatures and the new The Silver Bayonet expansion?

The Vatican? I expected the Spanish Inquisition!
Might have to grab the book at least… could double dip with my Carnevale terrain (not to mention the monsters of Carnevale).
I’ll definitely be getting this, I bought a carnevale playing mat when I saw one, and built a couple of houses for it as well.
