Welcome to the sixteenth (hopefully not last) monthly painting competition (PaintComp) down here in the forums. Taking a page from @warbossd gaming club book as inspiration there will be a key word or phrase set at the start of the month and anybody who likes to participates paints something up, builds something or whatever creative outlet strikes them, as long as there is at least a tenuous link to the key word.

Then, not later than midnight local time on the 25th of each month you post your results here (not in the project system!) and we all get to do a community vote on it! Voting will open on the 26th and will close at midnight local time on the 28th with results posted the following day.

There are no prizes involved, only fun! It’s not mandatory. It’s just for fun.

The key phrase for this month is:

    Holiday period

Note that given this is starting a little late, and December can often be tricky for people with all the Christmas shenanigans, I propose we merge November and December and run this competition from now until Christmas day.

I will do my best to compete and do have something to motivate me because I’m planning an Xmas themed RPG adventure.

I have this week received some Xmas adjacent miniatures to get ready.

    I second that vote

@danlee  I love the idea of extending the deadline up to Christmas.  Great suggestion.  Let’s do it like that.

Now to the theme.  I don’t really do novelty miniatures so I’ll have to have a think about this one, which is the point of doing these challenges :D.  I’ll find something.
