Oak & Flame Expansion Comes To Guards of Traitor’s Toll
October 29, 2026 by brennon
Grey For Now Games are now taking pre-orders for a new expansion to Guards of Traitor's Toll, their 28mm Fantasy skirmish game of semi-cooperative shenanigans in the eponymous city. Now, Dwarves and Elves are entering the mix with Oak & Flame.
Oak & Flame // Guards of Traitor's Toll
Oak & Flame makes use of the plastic kit from Wargames Atlantic that was released a few months ago. You get twelve Dwarf miniatures and twelve Elf miniatures, along with all of the rules that you need to include them in your games of Guards of Traitor's Toll.
Dwarves & Elves // Guards of Traitor's Toll
The set also comes with twenty-eight gaming cards which cover your rules, Major Plots, Plots and Secrets that you'll uncover as you include these miniatures in your games. One of the Major Plots includes the little plastic dragon, which might have something to do with things in the city going a little awry.
Dwarves & Elves // Guards of Traitor's Toll
As with all of the kits from Wargames Atlantic done alongside Grey For Now Games, these are compatible with the existing set of Cityfolk for Guards of Traitor's Toll so you can do plenty of mixing and matching if you see fit. These characters will be great for just varied NPCs in your games but you could also identify them as key members of the plots you're trying to uncover!
Pre-orders for this set are available right now ahead of a release in the middle of November.
What do you think of the new Oak & Flame expansion?

I see eight doubles and eight individuals. Which is odd when the minis come on sprues and their own page states “And of course the new sprue is great for kitbashing with parts from the original Cityfolk sprue.” I guess it’s more work painting 24 individual minis but copy & paste eight of them just to have 24 in pictures feels… weird. But they do look nice.
I just had a look on Wargames Atlantic page. Looks like get three sprues with 8 bodies per sprue. That makes sense with 2:1 ratio.
Hopefully we will get some sprue views soon , and then we can see what’s included in the box . Does seem rather silly to say you get 24 individual figures and then show a set full of twins .
