Victrix Miniatures are going to be releasing their new set of 28mm-scale plastic Caesarian Romans for you to use when conquering the world and cementing the power of the Roman Empire. Watch out for the pre-orders this Friday.

Caesar // Victrix Miniatures

These sets are going to represent the Legions of Rome that dominated the battlefields of the Ancient world, with characters sculpted as lifelike representations of Julius Caesar, Pompey and Mark Anthony. They are actually based on carved statues from the time.

As well as the new characters, you will also be able to get a great plastic set that contains enough components to build thirty-eight Romans in fighting poses. They can be armed with the likes of the iconic pilum alongside your scutum shields and the equally iconic gladius. Inside the set, you'll get four Legionary sprues and then two Command sprues.

This means that you can make thirty Legionaries, two Centurions, two Standard Bearers, two Musicians and two Mounted Generals. There will also be optional parts for you to make more Centurions and Optios for your Roman armies.

In classic Victrix style, the sprues have been designed so you can mix and match components in order to build some dynamic-looking troops for your Ancient wargames. I imagine this could be a good (and early) start for someone looking to get prepared for when Pillage heads back into the Ancient period.

Are you going to be picking up this new plastic set?
