Sieges & Strongholds Coming To Victrix & Noodle’s Pillage!
October 12, 2026 by brennon
Victrix Miniatures and Noodle Wargames announced a new expansion coming to their Historical skirmish wargame, Pillage: Ransack The Middle Ages. Sieges & Strongholds is on the way, bringing with it new rules and plenty of new miniatures.
Sieges & Strongholds // Pillage
This new expansion for Pillage will introduce ways for you to siege and indeed be sieged within castles, forts and motte-and-bailey strongholds. The rules should work for sieges in Antiquity through to the late Middle Ages and cover the likes of classic Roman Scorpions through to the mighty Medieval trebuchet.
The core rules for Pillage will still apply during your siege games but you'll also get a new layer of special rules for making the battles unique. For example, there is a new fire phase where you'll see incendiary projectiles hurled into the enemy fortification, where you'll then have to scramble in order to put the fires out.
Battering Ram // Pillage
Each of the siege engines will also have its own rules and you'll also find expanded rules for fighting on the tops of walls and inside buildings. Siege warfare spreads through all of the nooks and crannies of these strongholds, so you'll need rules to govern that.
Handheld Battering Rams // Pillage
As you'll have noted, the new Sieges & Strongholds supplement will cover warfare of this style across a larger time period than Pillage currently covers. That's because this has been designed to cover future supplements set both before and after the Early Medieval period.
Inside the book, you'll find a history of siegecraft and how the different stages played out. You'll also find your rules for fighting out your siege and then the special rules for each of the siege weapons. There is also a guide to building your own siege engines and fortifications, which could be just one wall across a table or a full set-up.
Mantlets // Pillage
There will also be an entire campaign section which will cover you playing out a siege from the first alarm through to the final assault on the beleaguered walls. Special mention has been made of plenty of historical information throughout the book, giving you ideas for your own sieges based on those that played out throughout history.
Braziers & Flaming Arrows // Pillage
New original artwork will also be present, featuring work by Ayman El-Sakrane, Even Amundsen, Gabriel Pissondes, Jonny Sun, Leslie Biao, Prosper Tipaldi and Stijn Windig. A great way to get a close look at how castles and other fortifications would have looked during the period. A great primer for your own Historical terrain layouts.
Cauldrons & Grappling Hooks // Pillage
That also means a load of new plastic kits, some of which you have been seeing here. You'll be able to get battering rams, both covered and uncovered, plus mantlets, ladders, grappling hooks, pits for setting alight flaming arrows and more. Everything that you'd need to fight out a siege.
Ladders // Pillage
For some folks, the idea of crafting your unique castle will be a hobby challenge that is relished. Others may want an easier time of it and so Printable Scenery has joined forces with Victrix and Noodle to produce the impressive Linesse Castle.
Linesse Castle // Printable Scenery
Linesse Castle can be downloaded now from Printable Scenery and printed at home. It comes with curtain walls, towers and a gatehouse. You have arrow slits for your archers to fire through and a timber-topped tower which is primed to be set on fire. Shields and flags can be hung from the front gates and, because this is a modular design, you can play around with your set-up and print as much of it as you like.
Victrix has mentioned that Sieges & Strongholds will be coming out in very early 2027, so you've not got an awful long time to wait before this lands. Could this be the kick in the behind that your Pillage group has needed to carry on playing more games?
