interesting looking game, if only there where enough hours in the day – it been added to the never ending list of things to try out
is the scenery (not the mats) self made or bought? and if so where from?
Its from Gale force 9, there Battle field in a box range.
BoW Justin
you missed out the bravery test when a squadron loses a ship. Cruisers are capital ships so they are at -1 to hit frigates and turrets when fired at range band 1 is -1 as well
but a very nice intro vid keep it up guys it is ok to make mistakes starting out on a new game system i did with i forgot a whole bunch of rules
The army with the BIG robot is the army I wish to start.
Prussian Empire then for you 😉
so FSA or Prussia? Although Empire of the Blazing Sun has a robotic submersible squid!
Nah
that was the Chaos Dwarves
no wait…

I love the models (seriously, my CoA have insane details!) and I like the rules, but I feel some elements are a bit clunky, like tiny fliers (more book-keeping than the rest of the fleet for much less return really) and bravery which could be simplified. But it’s a solid, fun game and nice to see BoW covering it.
Does anyone know which GF9 box set that the terrain comes from?
At 20:30 when you chose to fire with your main turrets I believe you only rolled for a single turret. Your boat has 2 main turrets and therefore can roll 7 dice for each turret or link fire with the other for a total of 10 dice.
As well as what grob said in a previous comment, all your to hit rolls would be at a minus one to hit and therefore you would only achieve a successful hit on rolls of 5 & 6 with those shots.
Im happy to see Dystopian Wars get this kind of coverage, its an amazing game and certainly needs more players!
30:20 sorry..
We can discuss Dystpoian Wars in this group http://www.beastsofwar.com/groups/dystopian-wars/forum/
If only I had the time, there just arent enough days in the week for all the great games around now.
I do like the minis though, I looked on waylands site, the British stuff looks very nice especially.
ditto Noggin
Would start with Brits and CoA
given time money etc
glad to see some Spartan loving

Great video guys, keep the awesomeness coming!
Hi guys
I’m new to this type of game, picked up Dystopian wars and so far have won my first 6 matches(with friends lol). I love the game and watched this video, was great and really informative. My question is where can i get the “rocky formations” I saw in this video, i know the Seascape is from Dreadfleet but not the scenery, Looks amazing and i would like to get hold of these, not sure who to ask so thought i would post here. Thanks guys
Its from Gale force 9, there Battle field in a box range. 🙂
