Warriors of Athena is a brilliant new solo and cooperative 28mm scale wargame from McCullough, who is well known for games like Frostgrave, The Silver Bayonet, Stargrave and Oathmark.
In Warriors of Athena, you take on the role of a hero and their retinue, playing through a series of scenarios based on classic Greek mythology. In a new twist, one player can also take on the role of the Oracle, plotting out your adventures for you like a Games Master of old.

I don’t know; it’s all Greek to me…
£25 for the rulebook and £25 for the scenarios book, hmm… £50 for a set of rules. This is becoming the norm I guess
Stuff is mad expensive now. I heard they have to bring these through Hormuz; the costs are bonkers! 😂
I’ve got these and the quality is great. As Gerry says the artwork and maps are ace. I agree it might have been good to get an introductory scenario in the main book.
The price looks a lot when compared to cheaper wargames rules. It needs to be compared with the other Grave systems which relied on a main book at £20-25 and then lots of additional books at £10-15 each for a similar amount of content. There are hours and hours of game play in the Quests book. If £50 for the system books isn’t for you then fair enough. That is peanuts when compared to how much the miniatures and extra bits you will need might set you back so perhaps another game would be a better choice if cost is a main deciding factor.
