Fight The Liberation Of Italy With In 15mm Scale Flames Of War

Battlefront are taking you to another theatre of war from World War II with a new supplement and a pair of Limited Edition Starter Forces for 15mm scale wargame, Flames of War. Are you going to be taking part in the Liberation of Italy?

Inside the Liberation of Italy, you'll find the history and the background of the fighting and the battles that took place in Italy from 1944 through to 1945. This will cover both the Allies and the Axis forces that took place in those battles, like the Germans, Axis Italians, Americans, French, British and the Allied Italians. All of those will then break down into Armoured, Mechanised Infantry and Airborne Formations for you to use in your games.

As well as the book, there are also two new Starter Forces for you to pick up for use with Liberation of Italy. We start with the French and the Compagnie De Tirailleurs Rifle Company.

The Tirailleurs Platoons were drawn from the men who answered the call to liberate France from the Nazi threat. They were drawn from those displaced French who joined up with their countrymen alongside the Free French and many from the French colonies, too. All of them were trained and ready to fight to reclaim their homeland.

The North Irish Horse found themselves being something of a crutch that everyone else leaned on during the battle through Italy. The set here gives you a good mix of Churchill heavy tanks alongside Sherman V tanks, offering a variety of support to the infantry as they did all the foot slogging.

Plenty of tanks that can be used to support the infantry that are doing all of the hard work. You've got the Churchill's and the Shermans but also one Firefly in the mix and two of the M10s. There are also some nice metal and resin sets for the Staghound Armoured Cars. A good way for you to shuffle someone up the battlefield without being taken out by random fire.
