Already a huge CCR fan, I think my age is showing since I have a “Vietnam era” playlist already.
You and me both buddy. In fact my friend and I used to play our ‘nam era playlist whenever we played the PC game Vietcong in co-op 😉
I’d have gone for ‘Bad Moon Rising’!
Me too first single I ever bought.
Spencer Davis Group – Gimme Some Lovin
Great vid.
So, just what are the FoW rules for playing conscientious objectors?
Do you have to tear up the Nam rule book?
All together now:
1, 2, 3, what are we fighting for?
Hell I don’t give a damn,
Next stop is Vietnam…
5678 open up the pearly gate, well no time to wonder why woopie were all gonna die.
Battlefield Vietnam Intro Movie 🙂
that was my first thought 2.
😉 damn i think i want to play it again.
The era had so many cool songs,
i wonder which one will be next 😉
Light, Blast, drag and fallout
This us giving me tour of duty flashbacks its that same river bank oh man
I love that song. Not for the anti-war theme, but for the tune, beat, etc.
Love that song! Just watched “We we’re soldiers!” and am totally in the mood!
I’m about to sit down and watch that too! (couldn’t find platoon in my collection)
Don’t forget to add ‘HAMBURGER HILL’ to your playlist 🙂
Great content at always guys. Please please please do a review of the pc game battlefield Vietnam. It is an awesome game that lets you battle in Vietnam while playing all the best music of the time. You get in a jeep hit choose the track u want and it plays and if your opponent is playing musician a vehicle you hear it and it gets louder as he approaches and quieter when he goes away from you. Try it, it’s an Oldy but a goody.
All along the watchtower by the Jimmy Hendrix experience (electric ladyland album)! Gotta have that!
Favourite Nam song….http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0PjECSyJ7w
‘Nam.
“Lookin’ at a world of pain, man.”
“Put the FNG on point, and lets move it out !”
……………………..” Don’t mean nuthin’ “

Apparently Warren has been promoted to ‘Nam DJ of the week.
another song added to my playlists!
“Good morning, Vietnam.” What the heck is that supposed to mean?
And who gave him permission to play modern music……?
This is one of my favourite songs with CCR.
Great choice in song Warren
Great song
CCR, what can I say: great band, great song.
Not only very nice to listen, it tackles a serious point in the Vietnam war. Mostly the poor guys and proportionately more ‘blacks’ got drafted in the end. A lot of rich kids avoided or bought off the draft, or got cushy jobs in the military without risk. Think of former president George Bush junior.
Another classic song from the era.
Awesome song. This and Paint it black always gets me in the mood to paint some FoW
‘The’ song for Vietnam for me.
Vietnam songs are my favorite, here some to listen:

THis is cool. When you mentioned you were gonna put up some Nam themed music, I made a list. So far your list and mine matched. Paint it black then Fortunate Son
I still listen to the BFV soundtrack, golden oldies.
great tune!!
Creedence is to Vietnam what Boltthrower is to warhammer for me. Lol
Classic song, another great choice
