I have never been a huge Neil Young fan but this song is pretty iconic for the era. Oddly my family is spread throughout the Ohio Valley.
Song about Kent State… not the most glorious note in US history….
GREAT song though
Wow. Actually didn’t know about that till today. Important song!
Good to have music and gaming. A great pairing.
Well the vietnam war was millions of deaths .not songs, americans songs ….so much sufering ….An evil empire try to bomb to Submission a proud people….
I love music playing when gaming particularly soundtracks
nice song but a grief and sad story behind it 🙁
very nice song
One of those events in life that make you just stop and think what the hell is going on. I was 13 at the time found it all a bit surreal.
Never heard this one, good song to remember that event.
Meh, never really a Neil Young fan. But the story is worth a song to be sure.
Very sad story.
Sad song, never heard it, reminds me of bloody sunday of U2. These songs are like the songs of troubadours, to tell us what happened, so we will never forget.
Sad story. Our western civilization out there is by no inch better. Though the means for mind control, opinion shaping, subtle (and not so subtle) civil oppression have come a far way.
This is one of the iconic song of that time, tere were still others too thought, it being the time of protest songs all over the world…
this one was new to me, no mistaking the era though 🙂
Love this song, great one.
great song. Has anyone mentioned Billy Joel’s “Goodnight Saigon”? I also used to play Elvis’ Suspicious Minds while running PBR boats during a game of FNG and imagine guys waterskiing behind the boat…..as you do
One of Canada best songwriters of all time. Rather sad that the USA needed an out wider Neil Young to speak out about the sorry state of things. Another good one from him is Southern Man that’s a bit political and speaks of the times.
Well I hope Neil Young will remember, a Southern Man don’t need him around anyhow!

To make light of a horrible event that shouldn’t have happened, for the spirit of a table game. There was I think 67 shots fired 9 unarmed protesters were wounded 4 were killed. Those guardsmen stats were BS 2. Good song tho. (And I think a number were bayoneted)
Plus ca change
This shit is still going down.
and it is gonna get worse.
This is a new one to me, thanks for this.
ant the 60´s still rocking!!
loving the coverage, give me more!!!
Never heard this song before, thanks for posting it up
Not a Neil Young fan but not bad song. Didn’t know about this event.
Though I can believe it.
very important song in US history.
