While there is no shortage of weapon-wielding Lace Wars personnel in various scales, I’m finding it difficult to find regular folks and unarmed nobility for the period. Does anyone know of any manufacturers making peruqued gentlemen in tight hose and ladies with giant white hair and massive dresses that make them look like cupcakes ? (The reason doors had to be so wide in those days….)
Wargames Foundry has a line of 18th Century civilians
I believe Ratnik is no longer available, then there is also Blue Moon and Eureka, and I htink Black Hussar do some.
TT Combat has a lot of models in its Carnevale range that don’t have any obvious weapons.
Maybe not period correct, but it could be close enough.
Sanguine Sin
Then there’s the multi-award winning Moonstone.
The figures tend to lean more towards the fantasy side of things.
The Duchess comes to mind as an example :
The Masquerade
Looks like Foundry might be my best bet, their Old Fritz even seems to resemble actor Otto Gebühr, who portrayed him in a whole series of 1930s movies.
Sideskirts!?! Don’t tell @johnlyons or he might get confused about tanks.
This does seem to be an interesting quandry to be in as well if you were to play the 7th Sea rpg in Montaigne. I remember there were some great metal sculpts for that nation that only featured a couple of minis per nation in the game.
