Kickstarter for a Dutch convention!

[michel86 822xp 2]

Hi Folks

I’m part of a group trying to keep the Dutch Con, IMPACT, rolling.
So we’ve launched a Kickstarter!
Please check it out and support us, by pledging or sharing it with people in the industry!

Thanks for your help!

Cheers,

Michel

@michel86 that link is not working …

This looks like the one

Thank you @limburger ! Weird how it corrupted…
Hope to see you at Impact!

Cheers, Michel

I had heard about Impact, but never had the time to see when and where it was.
Both Zuiderspel and Spellenspektakel were more visible (although they lack in wargaming content :-().

We definitely need a good wargame convention 🙂

Feel free to pledge 😉

Damn…. 350kms is a bit far :S

[michel86 822xp 0]

@sundancer, well see it as a road trip! Go with a few friends!

[sundancer 44874xp 0]

It’s a 5 hour trip. Driving 10 hours for a days worth of fun just doesn’t fit into my small spare time budget. Sorry.

I understand, can’t blame me for trying to give it a positive spin! 😉

Are you planning to have some sort of presence at Spellenspektakel in September ?

[michel86 822xp 0]

@limburger, waarschijnlijk wel als de KS succesvol is

General update,

We’re on 34% of our goal!

Still have plenty of time to reach it! So click that link and spread the word!

@michiel86 kickstarters that aren’t over 50% at this time tend to fail to fund. Last minute funding is something that only happens when there’s exciting stretchgoals to unlock and a reason to fund beyond the bare minimum. I do have to say that I haven’t backed any projects like yours so I’m not sure if this sort of thing is true.

Kicktraq is predicting 98% at the end, which even if you do manage to get to 100% doesn’t give you a buffer for problems at a later date  …

I think you need to find a few Dutch websites and traders to get the ball rolling.
Did you contact Ducosim ?
Contacting Tabletopper.nl might be worth a shot. I saw them at Zuiderspel and Spellenspektakel with a wargame focussed shop.

[michel86 822xp 0]

@limburger Yes he’s onboard! As is Scenery Workshop, CCG, Varosh and May ’40.

Ducosim I need to check with Koen.

Thank you!

[limburger 22634xp 1]

ooh nice 🙂

Now I really do hope you get funded.
Do you have any backup plans for a smaller event in case the kickstarter fails ?

[michel86 822xp 0]

Thank you!

Nope no plans…. yet ?
