That white stuff is a recreational narcotic being smuggled south into the [edited to avoid no politics sign] that exists there!

@limburger I had to walk down to the postal box to get a parcel; it was a good 10cm deep, and still coming. Walked in a car track to make it easier. Just… gross.

So I first asked Claude to create lyrics based on Barret’s Privateers.
I then tweaked it a bit and used Suno to generate the song.

    Orkz and punk …

    And one cyberpunky:

    One of my first attempts:

I really want to know how a mere mortal could ever hope to create something like this.
Lyrics is one thing. That I could do.
The music itself ? not a clue.
It is amazing how good that thing is at creating a song in a style.
The only way to make it ‘better’ would be by tweaking the lyrics as some of the words do not match how they’re supposed to be pronounced.

Just paid my ridiculously high water rates (high because my company is doing their job and maintaining network) and in the last month I’ve had plumbing problems and just to add the to fun I spent the last two days ripping up the wooden floor in my conservatory because is was sagging badly from water damage.

Can’t wait for the summer when the hosepipe ban kicks in one day after the first really hot day.

So… if there is no official weekender… it guess that makes the unofficial weekender becomes the official one!

Life is weird without a weekender or XLBS to end the week and distract me from the idiocy outside.

I think I should visit the local DIY store and get more bits for my plans.
Hobby mojo needs recharging a bit.

Adepticon should result in some bits of hobby news to help us through the dip, but all I’ve seen so far is the big GW.

I kind of want to order those two new Shatterpoint sets because they do have sexy models, but I can’t find a webshop that has them (and I’m not a fan of preorders).

I know what you mean.  It is unsettling when the regular rhythm of the week isn’t followed.  I’m sure I can find some hobby stuff to distract me on the YouTubes.  Perhaps there will be some Adepticon coverage there.

On the topic of weird.  I’ve just set up the new monthy painting competition [PaintComp] here on the Forums.  If you aren’t already participating why not come and join us and get something all covered in paint to the current key word theme:

I was expecting more Adepticon news too, but even that hasn’t popped up yet.

OTOH … Mantic are busy with Dreadball kickstarter.
Warlord have released the Konflikt ’47 expansion, which was in their regular newsletter.

GW was the only one doing really big announcements so far I think.

Inepticon is full of news, it’s up on the Warhammer community site.

Surely there must have been more than GW news.

GW releasing new models isn’t exactly world shattering news.
And we kind of knew the new edition would be launching this year as well. The only thing we didn’t know was which factions they’d have. Got to admit that the idea of orkses in the set is an interesting one, but I’m not convinced the exact contents will make me want to buy the box either.

Yeah, I don’t see myself buying the box, as I don’t collect Blood Angels, and I have all the Orks I could ever want, pretty much. The rule book sure, codices when they get updated, usual routine.

I don’t know anyone who went to Inepticon (Canadians aren’t generally travelling south right now…), so all I know of is the Warhammer Community news posted; I don’t do much else anymore, too.

yeah, with the current clown in charge of the circus I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere near the USA.

I know at least one OTT’er is over there though. I do hope they return safe and sound.

*arrrgh* as cool as ‘AI’ is for writing code (stupendously good if you got the money) …
it is incredibly dense when doing something else.

It’s almost as if it knows that when I’m nearly done that it wants to f*ck up in the most monumental way possible.
It sucks, because given that Google search results are absolutely useless (half is click bait, other half is sponsored … and the rest are clearly generated sites referencing similar sites for the sole purpose of serving ads) I need somethign that gets me results.
And ‘AI’ gets me those results with brutal efficiency.
