Rifleman Harris Joins Wargames Atlantic’s Sharpe Series

Wargames Atlantic has now released the third miniature in the Sharpe series for those looking to pick up these collector's figures in both 28mm and 54mm. Rifleman Harris now joins both Sharpe and Harper.

Rifleman Harris was a small, clever-looking man who was a sheepshearer in a previous life. It was actually Isaiah Tongue who was the bookish one. When the television series came out, Jason Salkey's portrayal of the character had Bernard Cornwell writing the book character more closely to the version of him from TV. It worked for Sharpe and I think it worked for Harris too!

The sculpt from Bill Thornhill in 28mm scale comes with two different build options for you to consider. You can either have him stalking forward, ready to take a shot with a shako on his head. Or, you can go for the head with the cap and hand raised, ushering his fellow riflemen forward or perhaps signalling for them to stop. You can also mix and match the heads and arms to suit the way you'd like to build the figure.

Both miniatures look great and join a wonderful collection of figures that bring the iconic Sharpe TV series to life on the tabletop. I am still intrigued to see what Wargames Atlantic do when it comes to the rules for their Sharpe game and what we're likely to see beyond the main Riflemen under Sharpe's command.
There is also the wonderful 54mm scale figure included in this set as well.

This miniature shows Harris taking in a moment with one of his beloved books in hand. He's perhaps watching on, having just snapped his book closed, as some ill-tempered commanding officer tries to get the riflemen to do something seriously stupid. I'm sure he'll find a moment to relax and take in some more poetry soon enough.
Jason Salkey also revealed that Hagman is next up when it comes to the miniatures for this growing Sharpe collection. It won't be long until we have all of the Chosen Men and maybe attention will turn to both their allies and enemies!
