Mantic Games are getting ready to push forward the storyline of Kings of War once again and that means that whilst the Forces of Nature are getting themselves some impressive new miniatures, there are some awesome new figures on the way for those who collect Basileans!

Basilean High Paladin on Dragon - Kings of War

Basilean High Paladin on Dragon // Kings of War

Leading the way, we have this impressive new crusader on the back of a mighty dragon. This dragon-mounted High Paladin will be bringing divine wrath to the forces of the Abyss that are rising across the lands of Pannithor.

This is an awe-inspiring miniature that shows off one of the High Paladins on the top of a dragon that is ready to smash its way through ranks and ranks of the enemy. The Dragon comes in High Quality PVC Plastic and the Dragon Rider is in Resin. It has a stunning look to it, as if it's right in the middle of the action. A great way to sculpt a dragon for a rank and flank game.

Noble Paladins

If you're looking for another notable miniature for you to drop into the mix for your Basileans, you can check out Gnaeus Sallustis, Grand Master of the Paladin Order.

Gnaeus Sallustis - Kings of War

Gnaeus Sallustis // Kings of War

This fellow is one of the iconic commanders from the Basilean army, an influential and enduring hero that will bring armies together to send the Abyss and pretty much anyone else who gets in their way.

"Beloved by the Paladins and common soldiers alike, Gnaeus’ charismatic leadership is acknowledged even by those who are increasingly wary of the Grand Master’s political clout in these divisive times. Born of rare Elohi parentage, his immense power and extended lifespan have already shaped the nation’s fate on the battlefield. With the loyalty of the military and the ear of the Hegemon himself, Gnaeus is uniquely positioned to steer the destiny of Basilea at war and beyond…"

He looks great and I like the posing for the miniature. I think that he would be great leading the way for a Basilean force, especially if you painted his mount in a bright green with yellow stripes.

Angelic Heroes

The Basileans have some help from divine sources and that is also represented by the Ur-Elohi, which you can also pick up as part of the new collection of Basilean miniatures.

Basilean Ur Elohi - Kings of War

Basilean Ur-Elohi // Kings of War

This heavenly champion is another of the new resin figures for the army, showing one of these holy warriors bringing their flaming sword down on one of the unbelievers. They are a living manifestation of the Shining One's will, ready to spread both terror and hope in those who witness them.

Brave Paladins

As well as the Paladin on the back of a dragon, you can also get one of the High Paladins on foot so he can walk into battle alongside the rest of your Basilean knights.

Basilean High Paladin - Kings of War

Basilean High Paladin // Kings of War

A solid new addition to your Basilean army and a heavily armoured warrior for you to include alongside the rest of your warriors slogging through the mud. I think he looks great, even with the "back banner" of sorts. I could see him looking good on an even bigger heroic rock. He gives me VERY big World of Warcraft vibes, which takes me back to the days of Warcraft III.

Bundles & Armies

If you want to get your hands on these miniatures, they are all available individually PLUS you can get them as part of a Bundle, which you can check out over on the Mantic Games webstore. Additionally, this might also be great for leading one of their new army sets!

Basilean Battalion - Kings of War

Basilean Battalion // Kings of War

You can check out all of those by heading on over to the Pre-Orders section of the Mantic Games website. This will also be a nice place to go and check out the Forces of Nature miniatures which are also coming out with this updated set of Basileans!

Could this tempt you to dive into Kings of War with a new army?
