Spectre Miniatures Head To Vietnam With Newest Releases
June 19, 2026 by brennon
Spectre Miniatures released a new set of figures this week in 28mm scale for those wanting to fight out a portion of the Vietnam War on the tabletop. This is a preview of a much bigger range coming down the pipeline but it should give you a taste of what Spectre has planned.
Vietnam War Early MAC-V SOG // Spectre Miniatures
These miniatures are an early release for Prairie Fire, the new Vietnam War range by Spectre and won't be available again for a little while. So, if you want to get in early, this is a great excuse to test out some paint schemes for your Vietnam War troops before they properly drop.
This set represents a set of US soldiers with a range of weaponry, from deniable Swedish-K SMGs to the suppressed M3 Grease Gun and a Type 56. You also have the miniatures in a variety of kit including one that is modelled as a scout, donning NVA/VC-style clothing so that they can sneak around and eliminate sentries.
US Soldiers // Spectre Miniatures
Each of the soldiers also carries plenty of additional kit with them, including water and a survival kit. They would also be laden down with ammo alongside fragmentation and smoke grenades. One of them is also carrying a claymore bag so they can set up an ambush.
Spectre has also said that they are hoping Prairie Fire will be one of the most accurate and diverse Vietnam-era miniature ranges to date. It will be great to see how it measures up alongside the Rubicon offering, for example. Spectre always put a lot of work into their miniatures to get them as close as possible to the real thing. It should be fun to see where this goes!
What do you make of these initial Vietnam War miniatures?
