Add Wargames Atlantic’s French Resistance Women To WW2 Games

Wargames Atlantic have now released their awesome set of Partisan miniatures for use in 28mm World War II wargames. You can now get the French Resistance Women set, which features some hard-as-nails ladies looking to kick Nazi ass.

This new set of miniatures comes from Thieu Duong and the studio miniatures that you see above were painted by Chris Hindmarsh. The set features enough components for you to make thirty different French Resistance Women, armed with a mixture of weapons and other accessories that they have cobbled together.

Whilst the Vichy government works under the bidding of the Nazi regime, in the shadowy corners of French cities and out in the countryside, French men and women work together to throw a spanner into the works of the German war machine. Many of them bravely stole weaponry from the Germans in ambushes to arm themselves, whilst others benefited from air drops sent in by the Allies.
This means that your French Resistance Women can be armed with rifles, grease guns, MP-38/40s, Sten guns, Thompson machine guns, pistols and much more. You also get several different heads that can be used to represent Resistance and Partisan fighters across different theatres and conflicts from this period.

This set means that you now have plenty of figures to use for both men and women who fought as part of the Resistance against the enemy. You can watch Gerry's unboxing and review of the previous set below.

As well as being useful for games set during World War II, there's no reason that these miniatures couldn't be used to represent those getting stuck into a Very British Civil War as an example. There are plenty of What If? scenarios that you could dive into with these miniatures.
What do you make of these armed and angry civilians?

These are good models and I definitely want them for VBCW. Always good to have the girls running with the guys and it adds variety to the militia units for both the Communist and Fascists and everything in between.
But the gun options are so limited to WW2 only. Even the Thompson is a war-time production model, not the inter-war model, let alone adding in that the STEN, MP40 and Grease Gun are specifically and only FOR WW2.
Main cusp of my rant: there’s not enough inter-war SMGs in the market that don’t require massive amounts of work to make them fit.
