Warlord Games' Soldier of Fortune miniature for September has been revealed as the Spartan King himself, the mighty King Leonidas. You can't go kicking people into wells anymore but try and tell him that!

King Leonidas is probably one of the most famous characters in history. He is best known for the Battle of Thermopylae and holding the Hot Gates against the overwhelming army of Persians under the command of Xerxes. 300 Spartans (and a few other Greeks but we won't mention them) stood against Xerxes and held out until they were betrayed!

This new Warlord Resin version of King Leonidas from Warlord Games is suitably heroic in his look, taking perhaps as much from the movie 300 as well as the Historical figure himself. I think every wargamer at some point in their lives has wanted to refight the Battle of Thermopylae, so maybe this is a good opportunity for you to do so.
King Leonidas will be available throughout September and then he'll be gone, so make sure that you snap him up if you'd like to add him to your collection.
