Dystopian Wars Enlightened Reinforcements & New Gaming Mats
June 24, 2026 by brennon
The folks at Warcradle Studios have been previewing what's coming out in August for Dystopian Wars but also for Armoured Clash players as well. We start with some more reinforcements coming out for the Enlightened with a new Frontline Squadrons set.
Enlightened Frontline Squadrons // Dystopian Wars
This set provides you with a good way for you to increase your force. It comes with a mixture of powerful cruisers and their variants alongside some supporting, lighter vessels, which can keep an eye on what the enemy are doing and stand in their way as well as being solid scouts.
Enlightened Frontline Squadrons - Contents // Dystopian Wars
Inside this Frontline Squadron, you'll get...
- 2x Lovelace Cruisers (May also be built as Copernicus Heavy Cruiser, Agora Command Cruiser, or Chatelet Drone Carrier)
- 2x Merian Automata Frigates
- 2x Endymion Dyad Rotors
- 2x Apis Escort Tokens
- 2x Scythe Fighter SRS Tokens
As you can see, you get some good build options for the Lovelace Cruisers and the various Rotos and the Scythe Fighters will be good for rushing ahead to secure key sectors. The Enlightened really are one of the most technologically enhanced elements of the Dystopian Wars world so they're fun for people who want something a bit different.
Dystopian Wars & Armoured Clash Gaming Mats
A new selection of gaming mats are also available from Warcradle for those playing games of Dystopian Wars and Armoured Clash.

Iron Seas Gaming Mats // Warcradle Studios
The gaming mats are anti-slip whilst also being scratch and water resistant. You get options for both naval and land-based engagements and they come in 4’x4’ and 4’x6’. Enough for a small skirmish or meeting engagement or a big clash between epic forces.

River Valley Gaming Mats // Warcradle Studios
Desert Plain Gaming Mats // Warcradle Studios
Snow Valley Gaming Mats // Warcradle Studios
All of the designs look great and even though they have the logos of Dystopian Wars and Armoured Clash on them, they'd still work for a bunch of other games too. I like the designs they've worked on so far but it would be nice to see an urban one coming out as part of a following release. Maybe you could have a couple of urban mats, themed towards some of the nations of the Dystopian Age. That would be fun for those seeking to personalise their collection even more.
Are you going to be getting your hands on either more Enlightened or the Gaming Mats?
