Medbury Miniatures Surprise With Fantasy Barbarians For October
October 6, 2026 by brennon
Medbury Miniatures dropped some awesome new miniatures on Patreon for October. The Fantasy selection moves in the direction of Barbarians and an awesome selection of characters and standard warriors for you to 3D print at home.
Barbarian Commanders // Medbury Miniatures
This is a brand-new selection of non-historical Norse warriors for you to use when building a band of Barbarians for Fantasy wargames and beyond. There is a Command Pack alongside a set of eight Warriors that can be armed with Spears or a range of Hand Weapons.
The Commanders (above) give you a set of standard leader figures for any warband or army. You've got a Leader, Magician/Mage/Shaman, Banner Bearer and Musician. They all look great and could very easily be used in Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game but also in loads of other games like Frostgrave or SAGA (with a little bit of magic).

The Warriors have options for swords, axes (both large and small) alongside maces and even torches for when you want to burn something down. You can also arm them with spears if you go and snap up some options from your collection.
Barbarian Warriors with Spears // Medbury Miniatures
I really like the miniatures that Medbury creates as they always have plenty of flow to them, as if they are right in the middle of the action. This makes them perfect for skirmish wargames where you want each figure to feel like an individual fighting as well as they can on the battlefield.
Barbarian Warriors // Medbury Miniatures
Medbury has plans to work on more of these Barbarians, including warriors with two-handed weapons plus a shirtless pack for those berserkers in your ranks. They also want to work on some big ol' giants which would be in keeping with the look of those from Game of Thrones. Medbury are open to ideas if you have them!
These 3D-printable miniatures are available for you to get your hands on this month on Patreon and via Tribes with physical miniatures coming later on down the line.
What do you make of these fearsome new Barbarians?
