Hot on the spiked heels of House Escher, House Goliath are going to get their hands on new plastic kits AND a new Journal that will bring more options to the tabletop for this gang in the new edition of Necromunda.

Goliath Forge Tyrant & Forge Boss - Necromunda

Goliath Forge Tyrant & Forge Boss // Necromunda

Much like with the Escher set, this pack comes with plastic miniatures for building your Goliath Forge Bosses and at the head of them, a Forge Tyrant. These Goliaths can be armed with a variety of specialised equipment that can be used to crush your enemies in close combat or turn them into slag from afar. You can lug around big weapons like the renderizer and big hammers or something industrial that has been turned into a lethal weapon by the gang.

The set also comes with enough options for you to build two plastic Sumpkrocs, snarling "pets" that you can unleash on your enemies, dragging them down into the depths of some filthy sewer. It's great to see that the resin miniatures are being turned into plastic ones so they're easier to build!

These miniatures can be used to represent your leaders and champions in your Goliath gang, including Forge Despots, Unborn Docs, Forge Masters and Goliath Bruisers. I feel like these new Goliaths still retain their chunkiness, but they've got a little larger, hopefully towering over other Gangers in a fearsome way.

Expanding rules for using these miniatures can be found in the new Underhive Journal: Goliath – The House of Chains.

Inside the House of Chains Journal, you'll get expanded rules, lore and more for the Goliaths. This introduces two archetypes for the Goliaths, the Furnace Brutes and the Unborn. That means Goliaths who are out there to claim territory by extreme force and the Unborn who have decided to make themselves Goliaths through interesting medical advancements.

You will also get new specific House Goliath territories that you can take control of, a new list of side jobs for you to complete during the course of your campaign and even more gang tactics. Once again, this is a slim, softback book that you don't need for your games of Necromunda but might produce some added flavour for your Goliaths as they expand as a gang. I would expect that it won't be long before we have one of these for all of the House gangs.

What do you make of these new Goliaths and the path that the new edition of Necromunda is taking?
