Perry Miniatures Preview New French Revolutionary Infantry
May 13, 2026 by brennon
Perry Miniatures has been sharing more of the work going into another of their new 28mm plastic sets. This time, they are exploring the new French Revolutionary Infantry that will be turned into a full set later this year.
French Revolutionary Infantry 3 UP // Perry Miniatures
This set of miniatures (represented by the 3 UPs and the sprues later in this piece) has been designed to cover the variation in headgear, legwear and footwear that would have been present among the ranks of French Revolution soldiers during the 1790s.

The figures are going to be split at the waist, allowing the plastic set to cover this. There will be options for breeches with and without gaiters, civilian overalls (ragged and semi-ragged), clogs, shoes in good and bad condition, plus bare feet for those who just couldn't pilfer something in time.

There will also be more gaitered legs on the command frames if you'd like to include some more formal elements to your French Revolutionary Infantry. When it comes to the torsos, you'll have tailless civilian carmagole jackets which can be painted up however you like, including as civilian clothing. Other torsos come with civilian long-tailed coats, which have been snaffled from someone unfortunate in an alleyway, I'd assume.

You'll note as well that the heads are attached to the torsos so that you can have the longer hair of these soldiers without it messing with the collars and the tooling of the miniatures. Additionally, there is also the second frame, which includes all of your arms and weapons for handing over to your soldiers as they prepare for a fight.

The two frames above are pretty much ready to go and there is another command frame on the way. There is no definitive release date for these miniatures at the moment but I would expect them in the next month or so.

Hopefully, the 3 UPs give you a good idea of what's coming and the kinds of paint schemes that you can work on for these miniatures. We also have the 28mm scale miniatures (above), which are made from the sprues that are currently available in-house. I like that you have some good options for posing with marching and attacking in the mix as standard.

Vive la revolution!
My favorite thing on the sprue is the dead bird you can hang off a belt.
He’s not dead. He’s resting!
Pining for the fjörds, he is…
