Satyr Art Studio celebrate more Oldhammer awesomeness with a few new sets for you to choose from when it comes to diving into your Fantasy wargames. If you like old-style, hand-sculpted miniatures, you'll want to dive into what Satyr Art has to offer.

Boraks - Satyr Art Studio

Kicking things off, we have a favourite of mine, the Dwarfs. This particular regiment is Boraks' Bloody Axe Murderers, which sounds like they're a charming bunch to know. They are led by the mighty Boraks and are the focus of a Norse Dwarf collection which harks back to the classic days of Warhammer Fantasy Battle.

As well as Boraks, you can also get yourself a warband of fearsome Bloody Axe Murderers. You can get a set from Satyr Art that includes the leader Boraks, a Champion, Musician, Standard Bearer and four individual warriors all with classic round shields. The Bloody Axe Murderers are, as you might imagine, armed with axes.

Bloody Axe Murderers #2 - Satyr Art Studio

This is a brilliant Oldhammer regiment that would be neat if you're looking to dive in and play some Fantasy wargames. You could use the basic set of miniatures as the start of a regiment for a larger game but it would also make an excellent old-school warband for a lot of skirmish games as well. I sense Mordheim might be calling!

I am a true believer that beards maketh the Dwarf when it comes to miniatures and I think that Satyr Art has done a sterling job here with these particular Dwarfs. I also liked their classic horned and winged helmets, getting across that Norse vibe very nicely!

A Highland Giant

Next up, we're going big when it comes to the Oldhammer offerings. Below, we have Dingers Durgan, the Highland Giant.

This is a towering fellow who looks like you've disturbed him as he was wandering around the loch looking for a quiet place to sit down and enjoy the scenery. Maybe a battle nearby has stirred him from his slumber and he's now ready to smash apart those who disturbed him!

He comes with an improvised iron club that seems to take the form of a cannon that has been ripped from its wheels. I don't imagine that the crew are around to complain. This fellow stands around 55mm tall so he's a big fellow. He also comes, as with everything from Satyr Art, in glorious metal.

Tony Ackland-style Knights

Last but not least, we also have a set of Knights of Chaos, designed in the art style by Tony Ackland.

Tony Ackland Style Knights of Chaos // Satyr Art Studio

This set of Oldhammer Knights of Chaos are inspired by the legendary Tony Ackland. It contains a Commander, Champion, Musician, Standard Bearer and a Warrior. They all come with elaborately sculpted and detailed Serpent God shields, which are going to be awesome to paint.

They could stand but if you don't want to go the way of the power stance, then you can also mount them on the back of 28mm plastic mounts. If you can dig out some of those classic horses from back in the day, then this will turn into an awesome project.

Could you be tempted to dive in and check out this range in more detail?
