Trench Crusade Retail Edition Rulebook Pre-Orders Now Live
August 13, 2026 by brennon
Factory Fortress are now taking pre-orders for the new retail edition of the Trench Crusade Rulebook, giving you a new window into the Grimdark skirmish game. This sits nicely alongside the new Starter Set for the game, Carcass Front, which is also available to buy right now on their website and from various retailers.

For those not in the know...
"In 1099, the Templars discovered a gate to Hell in the Holy City of Jerusalem. Their faith was tested. They were found wanting. The forces of Hell have since ravaged the Earth for 800 years, and now, in 1914, a cataclysmic war for the fate of humanity’s soul rages on. This is Hell on Earth. This is Trench Crusade."
So nice and cosy (in your trench). The new hardback book is your window into the world of Trench Crusade and contains all of the rules that you need to play the game, plus a whole bunch of new lore and artwork that brings Trench Crusade to life.
Trench Pilgrims // Trench Crusade
The changes to the 1.1 version of the book include more pages of expanded lore that dives deeper into the world, as well as the various factions fighting for victory in the world of Trench Crusade. This is then twinned with a whole bunch of new illustrations from world-renowned industry artists, expanding the scope and vision for the game.
Trauma Tables // Trench Crusade
You will also find an updated set of 1.1 rules for playing Trench Crusade. The original rulebook from the Kickstarter is still the core of the game but the retail version of the rules will feature refinements and improvements based on feedback from players of the game.
Campaign - Glory Items // Trench Crusade
Last but not least, there will be a section dedicated to miniatures, featuring model photography of the range but also step-by-step painting guides from professionals. Pre-orders are available for the new rulebook now and will be coming to stores and sent out to those who get involved now at the end of November.
It should be noted that the rules and all manner of supplements for Trench Crusade continue to be freely available online. All of the rules, all of the warbands, scenarios and more. You don't need the physical rulebook(s) unless you're specifically looking to have something in your hands to use at the gaming table or simply to gawp at.
Are you going to get the retail edition, or are you happy still using the rules as they are?
