TTCombat Launch New Edition Of Dropzone Commander This Week
July 30, 2026 by brennon
TTCombat are releasing the new edition of Dropzone Commander this week. The third edition of the game is going to launch with a brand-new Starter Set plus some great new CHROMA terrain for your 10mm-scale warfare on the tabletop in the Sci-Fi future!
New Two-Player Starter Set // Dropzone Commander
This all kicks off with an absolutely jam-packed Starter Set which comes with a whole host of miniatures for both the UCM and Bioficers plus the full Dropzone Commander Rulebook, Tokens, Dice, Fast Play Sheets (so you just play with what they tell you to!), Starter Box Scenarios, a Poster Map and then a bunch of quick-to-assemble Card Buildings.
When it comes to miniatures, there's plenty to sink your teeth into.
New Two-Player Starter Set - Armies // Dropzone Commander
Both of the armies in the set give you enough to make a 1000 point army with a handful of miniatures to spare. The idea is that rather than unremarkable "core" units, there's a good mix of interesting miniatures in these sets so you've got cool combinations to play with. A great move from TTCombat.
For the UCM, we have - Sabre Tanks, Rapier AA Tanks, Condor Dropship, Aggressor Cannon Polecats, Nemesis Minigun Polecats, Vulture Dropships, Raven Light Dropships, Scimitar Heavy Tanks, Praetorian Spec Ops, Raven Light Troopships, Legionnaries, Vulture Troopships, Raven Light Troopships and a Falcon Light Gunship.
For the Bioficers, we have - Bar Destructor Tusk Battle Skimmers, Device Dropship, Winnow Web Tangent AA Skimmers, Data Strike Dropship, Grievance Genitor Ark, Silence Heavy Gunship, Decon Cannons, Gyro Aero-Genitor, Lightmaw-armed Thorn Light Skimmers, Digit Light Dropships plus Drones and Winnow Carbine-armed Hulks!
The idea is that these new plastics can also be built in a variety of different combinations. This means that if you're looking to expand out and play different line-ups, you can.
New CHROMA Terrain
As if that wasn't cool enough, TTCombat are also releasing a new set of 10mm pre-painted CHROMA terrain for you to use when setting up your tabletops for Dropzone Commander.
New CHROMA Terrain // Dropzone Commander
This set comes with a full board full of scenery for your games of Dropzone Commander and, as mentioned above, it's all pre-coloured so you just need to glue it together. The Cityscape cardboard terrain pack is also going to be returning to the TTCombat website for those who want a cheaper option.
There will also be army bundles for the other factions of Dropzone Commander. The various sets for the Scourge, PHR, and Shaltari will give you enough components to make armies of around 1500 to 1750 points. The Resistance set will get you to around 1000 points as it doesn't have the additional plastics to boost it. There will be brand-new infantry in the set, though you can't get beyond the bundle.
Learn Dropzone Commander
If this has tempted you back into Dropzone Commander, the new rules are free in PDF form from the folks at TTCombat.
Free Rules // Dropzone Commander
The Rulebook will be out, plus a look ahead at what's coming for the Bioficers and UCM. You will also get the new rules for Behemoths, Fauna, Famous Commanders, Environmental Effects and more as part of this update to the rules, coming out as and when they are ready. All of this will be over on the TTCombat site.
Phew, that's a lot. Are you tempted to get stuck in and pick up the new edition of Dropzone Commander?
