North Star Preview New Warriors Of Athena Plastic Hero Kit
June 16, 2026 by brennon
North Star Military Figures has previewed a new plastic set coming out, which will support Osprey Games' and Joseph McCullough's Warriors of Athena! A new Hero set is on the way, giving you a way to build a diverse band of characters to use in your games.
Warriors of Athena Heroes // North Star Military Figures
The new Heroes set looks like it covers a lot of the bases for those wanting to make their characters for Warriors of Athena. You have a good array of different armour types and styles in there, alongside plenty of heads. If it's anything like the plastic sets that North Star produces for Frostgrave and Oathmark, this is going to be packed full of goodies.
From the little bit of information that we have so far, this is going to be a Male plastic set for Warriors of Athena, with a Female plastic set following in their wake. It should be enough for someone to build their iconic hero of myth and legends and their loyal followers who run into danger alongside them.
Warriors of Athena Heroes - Painted // North Star Military Figures
There's no reason why you can't already be building plastic heroes for Warriors of Athena with the various kits out there from Victrix and Warlord. Still, I like that this set from North Star is introducing a more mythical and fantastical edge to the miniatures, whilst also matching them to the artwork and vibe of the Warriors of Athena artwork. Take a few liberties with "history" and have some fun with a set like this for your chosen hero.
I also like that the set comes with a good mixture of little animal companions, from the looks of it. The fellow in the top picture has a weasel friend, whilst the chap in the middle of the bottom image has his loyal hawk by his side.
There is no word on a release date yet for these miniatures but it shouldn't be long before we see sprues!
What do you make of the preview?

I think this might be a great set for me to make some hero characters for my Hellenic Midgard army.
