About the Project

I meet the game designers at a local game con here in the San Francisco Bay Area. They had a great deal on the game rules and figures for the game so I decided to give it a go. We will go from making a gang to playing a game.

Saboteur with set trapSaboteur with set trap

This fellow is ready to set traps all over the castle. He comes with a nice bear trap for marking trapped areas on the battlefield. He was painted with mostly John Blanche Army painter sets but also some GW speed paints.

Brute model from Buer gamesBrute model from Buer games

Buer Games has a few metal versions of this figure they have for sale at their trade stand. I picked this one up at Kubla Con in May. On the day that John Blanche passed away I got this guy out and painted him up in one sitting using only the John Blanche paint sets from Warlord games. One trick I like to do is buff the metal with a rotary tool and then a burnishing tool. It comes out very shiny so I took that down with the grim bark wash in the JB paint set.  Very quick and easy with a great look. I call this Real Metallic Metal!  He is heavy and grim and my small homage to the great master.
