its the end off the world darrells just said he liked the fluff
The crusader is good for wound allocation, especially if your Inquisitor is in the squad.
Well you can stick 6 monkeys in a chimera and have 5 lascannons firing each turn with twice the chance to get that+12 range, trow grey knights completly out of your list and can field 6 such units with koteaz for 30 lascannon shots per turn and an AV12 wall.
it is ridiculous you can do an army filled with just Space Orangutans, they should have considered it.
While on the braking point of another GW poorly written codex, are Psychers Psychers? they do not have the Psycherer rule as odd as it may seems, if they are indeed Psychers 120 of them and a few culexus for that 122 shots weapon should be considered as a not really what was intended, list.
Generally speaking I am really disappointed on how the codex was written and how poorly it was thought after.
GW should get away from their “Its fun and the players will short the balance and fun out themselves” mentality, roll a D6 just doesn’t cut it any more.
Solid rules solid and balanced lists is the only way to move forward in my opinion and a stricter rules and list regime does not make it less fun or less creative, on the contrary it gives solid foundations to build over them.
Since you have 1+5 monkeys, you’d allways get a +5 in yor roll, so no chance on getting any customization, (since you allways get D6+5 >=6)
2nd each unit of grey knights is considered a single psycher.
3rd, and this goes for darrell: I am pretty sure that the benefits frome Inconceivable Customization do afect all the models in the unit, but I’m not 100% sure, :).
I’m just going to quote myself, cos’ i think it is interesting:
“”note something here also:
Inquisitor Coteaz ( Rule: i’ve been expecting you) could only shoot a Drop pod, and not it’s content since it shoots inmediately as the unit arrives, allthought he can shoot infinite times, he can’t shot the guys inside the vehicle since in the moment of arrival they are still inside!!!!!!””
You are not allowed to have multiple results of the same roll, so while you are definite you get to roll a 6 no mater what you roll and get two customisations, the two you will get will be something, because you are not allowed to have further 6 I suppose it will be determined in a much needed FAQ sometime between now and the end of the universe (though admiringly they get them faster lately), it is definite they give the bonus to the entire squad, I just didn’t bother an all orangutan list is as ridiculous as it will ever get.
about the second, each unit of grey knights, psychers are not grey knights and as far as the book is considered they are not psychers too, the only rule that connects them to psychers is when they are casting a spell, otherwise they do not have the rule Psycher associated with them, as I said poorly written codex.
It says that any repeated result is ignored, so if you get aditional 6’s you just ignore it, but it does not say you are not allowed to roll any further 6’s.
and at the very begining of the rules it says each unit of grey knights count as a psycher bla bla bla. 😉
Ah ok, so the more Jokaero you have the more chances you have getting no upgrades.
In any case inquisitorial henchmen are not grey knight squads.
For me this unit is the biggest damn disappointment in the book for the simple reason that the warriors just cannot be made as good as a stormtrooper. You can make them fit the storm trooper models, but he’s an attack down in close combat since the regular ST gets a pistol and a CCW in addition to his hotshot lasgun or special weapon and he’s only hiting half the time instead of two thirds.
In the fluff the storm trooper program was set up to sift through the orphans and find the one in a hundred that was good enough to be used for inquisitorial service, and the imperial guard get the ten or so that are close but not quite good enough, so why the hell is the warrior BS3?
You can’t make them Arbites either, cos they have no shotguns, you can’t Make them truly battle sisters due to BS3 but you can get them close with bolters and power armour. What you end up with is a Guard Sergeant that you can tool up with a bunch of shiny toys.
It seems like maybe there should be an inquisition-only book but I really don’t think another imperial codex is needed.

Wow… I thought the FAQ would be more… complete… just 2 modifications… There is much more work to be done!
There’s a GW store manager in england somewhere that has sculpted himself an entire army of Jokaero, that’s 72 unique green stuff monkeys all modelled flinging poo. The best thing about a unit of Jokaero is the fact you can fire them as squad of lascannons, multi-meltas or heavy flamers each turn.
For death cult assassins I would advise using DE Wyches and replace the heads with servo skulls and regular skulls scrounged from other kits.
My plan is to run a Jokaero or two, a load of Warrior Acolytes with Hot shots, and a Chimera. If they get the extra 12″ then they can mow down squads of SM.
My plan is to run 12 psykers fielded close to the Culexus Assassin 🙂 Its one of my favourite unit combos!
Im sorry to trouble you fozzythewozzy, but you do realize that a unit of 12 psykers still only counts as one psyker for the purposes of the culexus special shooting attack.
I’d have to add in a few Warrior Acolytes to the Henchmen mob — if nothing else but to have 9 point Melta Bombs, maybe some Storm Bolters for 3 points a piece to add a little more variety and give a little shooting element to a Crusader/Death Cult mob.
i think these ->
work nice as death cult assasins.
