Games Workshop followed up the campaign happening right now and celebrated a Space Marine victory in The Siege of Death Mire with a reveal of new miniatures for Warhammer 40,000. There is a need for speed, as we got to take a peek at new Space Marine Outriders.

Space Marine Outriders #1 - Warhammer 40K

This is a new multipart kit for the Space Marine Outriders, which comes with more options for those wanting to create a speedier Space Marine force on the tabletop, perhaps for a new White Scars army that you've been planning for 11th Edition Warhammer 40,000.

Space Marine Outriders #2 - Warhammer 40K

They don't look massively different from the Outriders that we already have but then again, there's not much that you can do when it comes to a Space Marine on a bike. You can pose the Outriders more dynamically, which is nice, and the multipart nature of them means that you'll have more options for kitbashing and converting to suit your Chapter of choice.

The new Outriders also come with more options for the Sergeant of your squad. They can choose from more melee weapons like a thunder hammer, power axe or power sword.

As I mentioned above, this seems perfect for someone wanting to build themselves a fast White Scars army for Warhammer 40,000. I've always quite liked the idea of a Space Marine bike because it was essentially a battering ram on wheels that smashed through enemies, bolter shells flying left, right and centre.

You can run quite a few of them in a Space Marine army now, so if you're looking to make them the core of your force, you do have the means to do so. We just need characters to sit on bikes alongside these Outriders (not just the White Scars named hero) and folks will be golden.

What do you make of the Outriders?
