Games Workshop has announced that the Ready-Painted Terrain for Warhammer 40,000 will be available for pre-order this week. Battlefields: Armageddon will give you enough pre-painted terrain to play out your full 2000 point games of Warhammer 40,000 in 11th Edition.

Battlefields Armageddon - Warhammer 40K

Battlefields: Armageddon // Warhammer 40,000

All of the terrain in this set has been designed to suit the look of the battlefields of Armageddon (hence the name). You clip it off the sprues and push it together, giving you a set of pre-painted terrain to cover the missions and board layouts from the Chapter Approved 2026-27 Mission Deck.

Inside, you'll find the terrain area footprints and the board games for your full 2000 point games (or smaller, of course) alongside plenty of terrain to suit those layouts.

In total, you'll get eight of the Large Manufactorum Ruins, eight of the Small Manufactorum Ruins, two Shock Arrays, two Capacitor Stacks, four Rockcrete Barricades, two Generator Shrines and four Galvanic Pylons.

From a price point of view, it has been floated online that the set is coming in at $395, which works out to just over £298. When you consider that this is hard plastic, pre-painted and covers a full 2000-point battlefield for all the different layouts in Warhammer 40,000, that doesn't seem so bad. According to first-hand accounts from a variety of tournaments, the terrain also looks great in real life, so that does feel like a tick in the right column.

There are plenty of ways you can get terrain to the tabletop but if you're deep into your Warhammer 40,000 and you don't have time to spend painting terrain, this could be for you. Games Workshop has said that there will be a limited quantity of this set to begin with but it doesn't look like it's going to be a "one-and-done" style affair.

What do you think of the Ready Painted Terrain?
