So there is also game like that. Thanks Adam.
These are great – lovely looking minis with lots of action too them. Will certainly have to take a closer look at this range of minis.
Great looking sculpts, an awesome looking book, and a really fun game that doesn’t require a lot of miniatures. I’m a fan.
Great video! I play Mercs and I love the game. 😀 Looking forward to see more great video’s! 🙂
Looks nice. Its also great to see you Adam in more videos.
Your set is falling apart making a mess? I can fix that. I’ll send you my old Return of the Jedi blanket that I use to cover my messes from my mom. Now she always knew I had a mess because of that, but I think you’ll be safe, she wont come over to your place asking what’s under the blanket.
One of the light blocking thingies attached to a lightstand became un-taped during shooting. The problem has been fixed.
great vid.
I like the idea of 5 minis and your good to go, and those certainly look like decent sculpts to me, nice first unboxing!
NIce vid Adam. Mercs seems to tick the boxes for me. Skirmish style, cool sci fi theme etc. Might have to check this out.
Hell of a good start in the Nerd Bunker! Love the poses of the minis, real nice job there Adam, keep it up 🙂
This range has been impressive in quality and the steady release of new sets is promising. Makes a great good-to-go system with only a few figures per faction you decide to field. The rulebook looks gorgeous too – the artwork is fantastic.
I really love the artwork. It’s done by Keith from MERCS Miniatures (who I’ve interviewed the last two GenCons) and it’s the first thing that drew me to the game. It fits perfectly within the context of the game.
Studio looks really cool, like the missile in the backround. Cool to see BOW expand out and have a “US Base”. I was hoping for some MERCS unboxings/attention too so nice to see that too – good quality camera-work on the closeups I have to say. Look forward to seeing more videos from the US Base.
As a fellow American I felt it my patriotic duty to add my 2 cents. (Cents, not pence mind you!)
Not so seriously –
You didn’t spend enough time showing the bases. Talk to Darrell. He can set you straight.
“Bog Standard” Really? In the name of George Washington, don’t sell your American soul the these foreign devils just because they give you screen time. Don’t forget we won the Revolution. 🙂 Grunts, or Vanilla Troops, or Cannon Fodder, or any other American term but lets leave the Bogs and their Standards to the Irish & English.
Hitting the booze in between the pre and post is probably not the best idea, but it looks like you have a high tolerance for alcohol because I didn’t notice any difference. (I know I tend to commiserate my dismal field performances in the bottom of a bottle of Glenlivet.)
Do you truly cower in fear against the potential legal power of GW such that you cannot say the word “Space Marine”. Man up brother. In America, we have the first amendment, so give it to those punks!
So Serious (well semi serious)-
1. Great backstory about the company.
2. Great giving credit to the artists – both the 2d concept and the sculptor.
I think its best to set the mini’s on the table when you are doing close cam. While I appreciate the attempt to do a 360 view by hand, at that level of close up, its just too shaky. In an ideal world you could get one of those 360 rotation view platforms. Or you could get one of those helping hands things – the one with the multiple articulating arms with alligator clips at the ends, and clip the mini’s to it.
Nice touch on the wash to help pick out the details. I appreciated the extra effort.
Really nice mini’s by the way. Great poses. Love the flying ammo belt, and the foot posing on the incinerator.
GREAT JOB! I was getting tired of those fancy accents anyway.
I’ve been using the term ‘bog-standard’ for years, it seems. Not sure where I picked it up.
Thanks for your comments!
Funny, I must be out of the loop. First time I heard it I think was on one of Darrell’s Whats in the Box reviews. Had to Google it. Sad but true.
Hmm, a -1. Seems like someone with a fancy accent doesn’t appreciate my attempt at levity. Well, humor is certainly subjective. I’ll just have to take my licks, and keep a stiff upper lip, er, no wait that’s not right is it??? 😉
Geek moment. It comes from slang regarding Meccano. the used to come in Boxed Standard, which became bog standard. Boxed Deluxe was the other type which became Dogs B*ll*cks!
Congrats Adam, My 2p worth.
Loved the vid, Great content, Just right.
Vari-focals don’t work, I am qualified to know,
Concentrate on quality rather than quantity, never mind the Irish, adopted from Stalin, “Quantity has a qualify all of its own”
Keep up the good work, I will be watching, 🙂

By the way liked the models review, cheers. Could use the leader as a stand in for a vindicator assassin
EDIT: religious/political rant removed. If you want, buy these gorgeous minis, but maybe check out the book first.
Can’t wait to see some more vids for this game, love the minis and the game looks like fun.
The Flamethrower Guy is actually a woman named Kat. 😉
