New and exclusive to Beasts of War! Andy unboxes the latest unit attachment for the Trollbloods faction of Hordes... the Fennblade Officer and Drummer.
Neither… I use Miniature Paints (that’s the actual name of the product)…
I can’t remember the company name, but they only seem to supply shops, I haven’t seen anywhere online where I can order them.
Great minis ! I like your pink… Do you put any brick red or grey in it, or is it a specific color in your brand ? It looks like a darker “Old Rose” (Vallejo) or a tarnished reddish purple with a “terracotta” base and traces of other colors…
I paint my trolls all sorts of colors. They’re generally blue (although I have a flesh-colored one, and it looks strangely good, against all odds), but they all have slight differences in color… Also, I’m a sucker for painting skin, and I like large barbarian types. I used trollblood figures for D&D ogres… the caber tossing one is great for that !
I am absolutely in LOVE with those big swords ! They look like giant gutting knives, to be used with dragons or large beasts like that… Very impressive !
Sorry, I replied to the wrong post… Thanks a lot for the name of the color ! I found a color charter for the Miniature Paint brand on the Internet, I see what you mean, now. This brand looks nice and has interesting nuances, I’m not sure I can get it where I’m from, though…
Sorry, stuck in Alberta, but I know the feeling. I have friends that play but they live over an hour and a half away, so games are few and far between.
For those in NI and ROI, these pics were taken at Arkham Gaming Centre… check them out… they’re a great club with regular events and appearances from the memberso of BoW.
re the fennblades- if you take them you are mad not to also take the UA. The mini feat is golden. Add a fell caller and a stone scribe and your rocking. Best if you get off your alpha strike charge. Reach locks down nicely and if you make your tough rolls people will hate you.

Good video, nice to see the trolls getting some love. Yeah, the officer is a fantastic model. Your trolls are pink?!? Let’s see some pictures.
OK… the best pics I have to hand are these “action shots”… 😉
Hope you can make them out!

Sweet, those look awesome. I like how you did the metal too, it synchs nicely. GW paints or PP?

Fantastic paints though.

Well, that’s just beautiful. I might paint them pink myself, now.

No, the colour is called Heather, it’s a sort of dusky pink.
I’ve recently finished a Dire Troll Mauler in that colour… it’s at the office… I’ll see if I can get a picture of it tomorrow/today. 😉

Man, those actions shots make the game look so cool. I wish there were people in HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA that played Warmahordes. Anyone, anyone?
Sorry, stuck in Alberta, but I know the feeling. I have friends that play but they live over an hour and a half away, so games are few and far between.
Yeah, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of representation in Canada… I’m gonna try the PP forums to see if I can get any bites.
