To boldly go… on an away mission!
What to do first …
So after seeing so many inspiring Away Missions projects, and having picked up (I think) all the boxes, it’s now time to start painting. Need some relief from 40K and grimdank painting.
What to start with? Probably the main box, as tempted as I am to get to “the classics” of Kirk et al.
I never know with board games how the miniatures will be – soft and flimsy and not liking paint is the usual; I was VERY pleasantly surprised at the “feel” of the minis in the main box – they are high quality, hard plastic, not greasy, and now I know why so many people like @gorram have enjoyed painting them!
Add: turns out, I even picked up the Romulan and Klingon dice for the game!

I think you’re going to have a good time with these. Between the cartoony, large sculpts and the bright colors they are just a lot of fun. The game isn’t bad either.
Thanks @jeffersonpowers – I like the totally different style of these. It should be a lot of fun, and so different!
Yas! Do it! If I could justify buying the core box for myself I would just to get to paint it up again 🙂 I think you are going to enjoy this
Definitely you inspired me @gorram to pull these off the shelf!
I had a quick commission thrown at me yesterday, Eldar Harlequins (more from the dude last year), so I am on those first. Tournament players have timelines!
