New Jump Pack Chaplain Leaps Into Battle For Warhammer 40,000
April 21, 2026 by brennon
Games Workshop previewed another new miniature that will be part of the 11th Edition Launch Box for Warhammer 40,000. Get a look at this leaping Space Marine Chaplain, complete with jump pack, that will be crashing into Ork lines later this year.
Chaplain with Jump Pack // Warhammer 40,000
Ripped straight from the trailer for the game (see below), this Chaplain comes armed with all of the weaponry you'd expect of someone of his office. He carries one of the deadly crozius arcanum in his hand, a symbol of faith but also a brutal way of banishing the taint from his enemies with a swift crack around the skull.

He also bears the rosarius alongside a heck-load of purity seals, so you know for sure that he's free of the scourge of Chaos. There are also plenty of skulls on show, which is befitting of a Chaplain, and he has the iconic skeletal helmet and chest piece design, which finishes off the look.
Chaplain with Jump Pack // Warhammer 40,000
Whilst this particular Chaplain has been painted as a Blood Angel, there are no sculpted details which tie him to the Chapter. This means that, as with all of the Space Marines from the Armageddon set, you'll be able to paint him up to match whichever Chapter you support. I currently have a small force of Ultramarines that could be in need of a Chaplain. I'm not sure Titus would take too kindly to Leandros getting a jump pack, though.
The Chaplain joins a raft of other releases coming out for 11th Edition Warhammer 40,000. Have the miniature previews got you interested in diving back into the game or perhaps starting out from the beginning?

Flat Crozius looks more like a shovel, pray for other options
Guard inspired foldable trench crozius XD
It’s for late night visits outside the camp to “take care of the Emperor’s bidness” 💩
I dont think this is an improvement on past chaplains tbh, i quite liked the square jump packs and feel they were more space marine. Maybe ive just hit that point where the aesthetic doesnt match whats in my head as GW evolve the spacemarine.
Glad they finally did a chaplain with jump pack though, i know people have been waiting some time for this.
I don’t mind the model, what I don’t like is that little whispy bits under boot. It just looks meh.
I know what you mean, better than skull or large tactical rock in this instance though. Paint it with a purple hue and then start yelling ‘start the purple’ at people just before charging into CC
I guess flying models looking like they’re skipping/tripping/bumping into stuff — or in this case, having a bizarre, random little wisp of smoke — is worth it for the *MASSIVE* savings of not having to produce (superior) clear flight stands.
Why is his foot smoking? This dumb obsession with “no flight stands” makes otherwise cool models (like this guy) look goofy.
Also, why did the purity seals on his pack get put on sideways, or do purity seals have a swivel feature?
They’re like tassels on showgirls – they’re meant to shake and spin!
Overall I like it, but like others have pointed out, that foot-fart would get cut off and clear plastic used to get him airborne.
I think they should just sculpt jump pack troops running cos they all look weird like they’re mid dance.
