Crooked Dice has expanded their collection of awesome 28mm scale Sci-Fi miniatures for their Colony 87 range. Harking back to classic Sci-Fi but with plenty of nods to creations of their own design, the new figures look brilliant as always and should be fun for those creating bright and interesting Sci-Fi games!

Colony 87 New Releases #1 - Crooked Dice

Colony 87 New Releases // Crooked Dice

The first raft of releases show off some of the new characters for Colony 87, plus some of the aliens that you might run into and the guards that you'll have to contend with, too, if you're a bit of a ruffian. You have (from left to right), the Mandator, the Itinerate Noble and the Merchant Heir.

The second row features some of the many-limbed alien species that you'll encounter as part of your adventures. They are mysterious scholars, mystics, antiquarians and more who might be able to offer you a space quest or two.

The last row features the new Authority Regulators who are there to make sure that people do as they're told. They could be good guys or they could be bad guys, depending on what side of the bed they woke up on. Guards are going to be useful in all sorts of games like 7TV, Stargrave, Rogue Stars and beyond, so maybe snaffle a few of these sets up.

The second of the previews shows off some faithful friends who have come to aid you in your endeavours.

Colony 87 New Releases #2 - Crooked Dice

You get loads of the Canids who were born out of strange experiments by scientists. They now look to make a name for themselves as freedom fighters, bounty hunters, space farers and mercenaries of many colours.

The set also shows off the deadly Obaron Assassin with the sword and the spooky mask plus the Jet Bike Rider who has been kicked off their bike and is looking to get some payback against whoever chipped the paint on his ride.

Lastly, you have even more aliens to choose from, acting as the merchants and traders that you could run into. They might also be great player characters for someone seeking to take a different route.

Colony 87 New Releases #3 - Crooked Dice

Colony 87 New Releases // Crooked Dice

You have the mysterious and complex psychics with their big blue heads. They might look serious and evil but they could well hold the secrets to saving the galaxy if you take the time to listen to them. You then have the frog-like barons, merchant princes and higher-ups that make up the rest of this alien collection. Bucky O'Hare has taught me never to trust a toad/frog in space!

You can see all of these new releases and more from the Colony 87 range over on their website HERE.

What do you think of the new miniatures?
