Victoria Miniatures launched their newest Kickstarter this week, where you can get your hands on STL files to build your own army of Grimdark Empire infantry for use in your Sci-Fi wargames.

Grimdark Empire - Victoria Miniatures

Grimdark Empire // Victoria Miniatures

This new 3D printing project from Victoria Miniatures introduces rank and file infantry for both the Tannenburg Fusiliers and the Victorian Guard to the collections of wargamers. The troops that Victoria Miniatures are offering come as both male and female figures and are designed to be modular with a "plug together" system. This means that miniature components can be swapped and changed, allowing you to do test fitting easily before you work out which way you want to go.

You can download a sample miniature and see what you think about the figures before you dive in. Beyond that, there are some great options as part of the campaign, starting with the Firing Line, which you can get your hands on for both Tannenburg and Victorian armies.

Firing Line - Victoria Miniatures

Firing Line // Victoria Miniatures

As you can see, the Firing Line contingent comes with both flavours of soldiers alongside male and female options for both of them. You get a good variety of different weapons within the set alongside the equipment that feels like a staple: radio packs, special weapons and then melee weapons for the leaders of your squad.

Infantry Squad - Victoria Miniatures

The foot-sloggers then step into the breach with four Infantry Squads, which include men and women of both regiments once again. This, again, is a modular, push-fit set of miniatures which can be combined with the Firing Line set to give you more ways to build unique squads on the tabletop. Again, you have plenty of different options here for all of the figures so you're not going to be wanting for weaponry.

Heavy Weapons Teams - Victoria Miniatures

Heavy Weapons Teams // Victoria Miniatures

Infantry won't deal with every enemy that gets sent your way. That's where the Heavy Weapon Teams come in. Use these guns to help take out incoming armour that threatens your infantry who are trying to hold objectives. Really nice sets that hark back to the older style of weapon teams from the Imperial Guard's past. Again, lots of options you can mix and match with the rest of the range.

Last but not least, the campaign also features a Command Squad, which you'll need for maintaining order as chaos reigns on the battlefield.

Command Set - Victoria Miniatures

Command Set // Victoria Miniatures

This set comes with the masterful Commander Caine plus a range of other miniatures that are going to be revealed over the course of the campaign. There will be commanders, a communications officer, a standard bearer, a medic and a specialist.

If these miniatures have excited you but you now realise you don't have a 3D printer, physical miniatures are available from the Victorian Miniatures website at a discount during the Kickstarter. The first six sets are already up there for you to choose from.

Are you going to be picking up these miniatures for your own army?
