Custodes Support Arrives This Week With New Battle Group

Custodes support for both Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: The Horus Heresy arrived this week with the new Support Battle Group set, previewed back during the Summer Preview by Games Workshop. Plenty of cool (and plastic) kit for you to bring to the battlefield in your Sci-Fi wargames.

This set comes with a nice mix of new plastic kits for you to use when building up your Custodes force in both Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. At the core of the box are four of the high-tech Gyrfalcon Jetbikes which you can use to race across the battlefield and blast apart your enemies. They look great with their lances at the ready, prepped to skewer a heretic or two.

As well as the Jetbikes, you will also get the Palla Grav-attack, which is a sort of halfway house between the Jetbikes and the larger tanks that the Custodes can bring to bear against their enemies. It continues the sleek design that you'd expect from the Custodes, setting them up as different when next to their brothers in the Adeptus Astartes.

Last but not least, the set also comes with a fantastic new plastic Telemon Dreadnought, which is something a lot of Custodes fans have been asking for for a long time. The Heresy-era Dreadnoughts always look superb and this one is no different. It can be armed with some devastating weaponry for turning enemy armour into a heap of slag.

As mentioned above, all of these miniatures are now available in plastic to pre-order this weekend and can be used across Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: The Horus Heresy without issue.

New Journal Tactica And Dice

As well as the new miniatures, there is a new Journal Tactica for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy focused on the Custodes and their exploits.

This new journal for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy explores how the Legio Custodes were dragged into the Burning of Prospero and their battle against the deadly sorcerers of the Thousand Sons. There is loads of new background information included about the assault on Tizca and the defence raised by the Thousand Sons. You'll also find new scenarios, game rules, extra units and a brand-new army for the Daemons of Tzeentch.

If that wasn't fancy enough, Legio Custodes fans can also get a nice set of new dice.

They are all cast in a gorgeous red, which evokes the flowing cloaks of the Custodes, with golden pips to replicate their gleaming armour. They also have the Legio Custodes logo in place of the six. You also get a nice scatter die in there as well!
