that was a totally awesome game guys, warren you are the luckiest dice roller i have ever seen!! why cant i roll like that ??? did you bring your laser out of retirement to use on the dice again ??? great video
Really enjoy the DreadBall Academy guys, keep it up! Looking forward to the set piece video. Quick games like this one always make me want to play home and away match series like described in the season two fluff on p. 22.
Epic
Ravaged, simply ravaged from top to bottom. Warren bent James over his knee and spanked him with a wrecking ball. James might have left with his tail between his legs if, in fact, he still had a tail, or legs, or any kind of appendage that could be tucked anywhere.
Ahh, I let him win. 😉
Deffo a rub of the green.
That was tremendous fun. Unbelievably harsh on the greenskins. Warren you lucky, lucky bbbb…boy!
I really enjoyed working on this one, but and there is a but here Warren could have won by taking his free action throwing to the guy on the 4 point spot having him double his roll to catch and gaining another free action.
Think ive got this right, if not feel free to berate me mercilessly 🙂
BoW Justin
This would be true if the striker on the 4 point hex wasn’t facing the goal directly. Had Warren faced him at an angle, the other striker could’ve reached his front arc to get the pass in.
On the theme of being suoer-critical, Warren only needed a one point score to win. He could’ve reached the one point hex to get another die to roll for his scoring attempt. But these things don’t matter with outrageous rolling like that 🙂
There is winning… And then there is winning properly 😉
Besides my corp stickers are glory hogs, assign is a last resort when there is a sniff of a goal!
(on a more serious note any in between actions where I would risk losing the ball I would tend to steer clear of… That and I’m a sucker for awesome plays lol)
Nothing wrong with a bit of glory … if you like that sort of thing 🙂
Another great dreadball video. Again though, what is it with Warren and rolling all those sixes? He seems to defy all laws of probability!
You have *no idea* how many weeks it took to film this. “Warren,” I kept saying, “you’ve beaten me countless times. Can we just be happy with the outcome and call it a day?”
He’d just cackle maniacally and demand that we shoot the entire thing again until he rolled an ungodly number of sixes.
There are still blisters on my hands from all the rolling, but those will heal. It’s the psychological wounds that will be with me forever…
So somewhere on Justin’s hard drive there are hours and hours of your stuffing Warren 7-0? And the Ming the [something]less jokes have dried up? Are these related?
I might be lying.
Damnit!
Great vid as ever guys. I liked James’ aside to the camera saying he had Warren on the ropes. A little optimistic when you’re 6-0 down.
One thing i spotted though, was when Warren scored in James’ rush the ball should have relaunched again before continuing with the rush.
Hopefully i can get some speedy wins like this with my Corporation team at the Scottish Regional tourney tomorrow.
Hello! You’re not wrong. In an earlier version of the rules, the ball just launched in at the start of the rush, not halfway through if the opponent scored. Must have changed at some point! Oh well, my bad. 🙂
Well, if my opponent was rolling that many sixes, i’d want it over quickly too 🙂
James is right now adding to the new FAQ for Dreadball : “When Warren rolls a 6 is consider as a 5, always!” Warren Dice rolling is just damn OP
Awesome vid as usual
I met James at salute awesome bloke realy generous, he nearly convinced to buy dreadball instead of hordes nearly.
Haha, thanks for the lovely words. Shame I only got as far as nearly! 😛
Great Video.
James’ initial deployment was probably wrong though. If they’d used a normal pitch from the bix, the first Orx he fields would’ve been inside the yellow “no-deployment” line in the middle of the field.
Alas, that line isn’t shown on the acrylic pitch.
You’re entirely right! I feel ashamed.
thanks guys that was a very entertaining start to my day over my morning coffee.
Im loving all of it, im totally hooked on dreadball, shame i still need to convince people that this games it the shizzle
I have to stop watching BoW and keep painting. My fiance has already started her second team, adding insult to injury – better painter AND faster.
Great vid, all the lads in the club are watching these either here or on youtube and its wetting our apatites for a league. Thanks for that.
Poor James, Warren shares my “Going for it” style. Love it.
You’ll be pleased to know that I won a game the other night!
