Those orcs are bloody lovely …
oooh mantic orcs :]
Liking the orcs!
Some feedback, could you try to get your punctuation straight in the introtext of the video? It just looks unprofessional.
oooh, like them there orks, (or is it orcs)….
WAAAGH!!!
Orcs, orks, orcs, orks, orcs either way its still awsome
OK so we have Mantic Elves, Dwarves, Undead and now Orcs are on their way – now it gets interesting, will the next race be predictable humans? or unpredictable humans? or something else 🙂
I would be surprised if we didn’t see some knights and stuff come along at some point.
Personally I’m most interested to see them exhaust all the tolkien-esque fantasy tropes, so we can see where their imaginations take them from there.
I would like to see… humans… BUT… not like marines and knights… I want to see… like sand raiders and ninja’s and stuff
I’d like it without humans, they all died to the undead magics who now have no fresh bones to empower, resulting in warbands trying to claim the world so they can entomb themselves in relative safety.
But that’s just fluff talk, what I want is the lovely cheap models of war.
next race= fishmen!!!
For sure
😉
I can’t believe this got thumbed down, an army of Murlocs/creatures from the black lagoon would be great fun.
Yeah bring on the fish!
Ooh yeah…. Fishmen with skaven-tech type breathing apparatus, constructed in a fashion that lets us paint their faces then glue on the mask/helmet with a dab of fake water inside the little perspex window……..sorry went off on one there a bit 🙂
Funny thing is I think the 1st mini i ever bought was a fishman type of thighy. I think if I remember correctly it had a crab head and a weird pair of breathing sacks and a net plus trident and then a human fish scaled body. Or was that my dream after eating some cheese??
DAMN YOU WENSLEYDALE!!!!! 😀
What about “evil” dwarves? Good looking plastic dwarves of chaos would sell for sure.
I just felt a disturbance in the force, as though Jervis Johnson suddenly cried out in pain and was silenced…
This would be best suited to the metal upgrade packs they have planned, for adding to their existing plastics. A few new weapon and helmet options could diferentiate the evil dwarves nicely.
Mantic needs to do space dwarves call them sitters 😉
Actually in all seriousness i do wonder if sci fi large battles are a viable market for them to look at
Nah, don’t want humans you can get thousands of them from anywhere. Now that we have the classic fantasy races, how about something unique or at least different from the norm.
what about an elf boxed set? I want a good deal for the elves 🙁
Orcs!!!! And goblins, I hope!!!
Crusade-ish humans with the knights in tabards etc and the regular foot blokes in robes and wraps would be great looking, But I think mantic will go for something thats not been done by GW(at least not large scale) after the greenskins, EG Gnolls or even something like fantasy Tau :P.
Crusade Humans would be my choice too 🙂
Could have a look at perry minis “war of the roses” for nice value figs
Parrot frogmen and fish beetles……..Phrrrrrp :-O
Well I was thinking of a gobbo only army
but may just have to reconsider the inclusion of orcses.
Hmmm which are gonna be better, GW orcs or Mantic?
Tabards and mail- my fave armour style, Cazboab
don’t want that to happen as would have tpo get some lol
oops tpo was a typo for “to” DOH!
Orcs? -twitches- you mean cheap orcs? -twitches more- … you mean i can get a cheap orc HORDE?! -TWITCHES as his skin turns green and picks up the closest stick and his wallet- Waggggggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
I was hoping those would be new Orc pics you were showing, but these are the Orc wip pics we’ve seen up on the internetz since April.
Rumours are humans next, followed by Ogres.
snotty gooey slimes, elementals, fairies, gnomes etc
Mantic could make hundreds of armies, but doing this would raise production costs with the needs of more sculptures and production lines.
Mantics goal was to make a cheap but large wargame so when the ruleset comes out in october there is nothing to say they wont just count their coins and dissapear into retirement.
I stopped and talked to the Mantic Guys. Orcs are indeed the next army and the three up looks amazing!
