Very nice.
I’m off to my local hackspace for the first time in a long while tomorrow. I fancy knocking up a paint shaker!
That’s a good value. And certainly better and faster then the nail polish shaker
@blinky465 just don’t knock over paints 😉
That’s like saying “don’t dribble gravy down your chin”. Sometimes – no matter how much you try not to – well, you know, shit just happens 😉
@blinky465 I’m a fan of this DIY effort https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rqA083rCgTs
Jigsaw with a toothless blade and zip ties works well too
@timchubb it does but has some significant disadvantages. It’s really loud and if the dropper bottle is shaken up and down paint is being forced into the nozzle of the bottle clogging it up. Even more so if you were to use an agitator in it.
@sundancer true but that’s equally valid with hand shaking… Thing to do with dropper bottles is to use marine grade stainless steel nuts instead of beads or bearings, why? Heavier, too wide to jam in the nozle and the hole acts more like a wisk than just smashing the pigment with a bead

To be in a Gaming group is very helpful to get your stuff painted. Especially if you play a escalation campaign. You Build and paint an army step by step and play games with it.
@madgolem I agree that an escalation game group would be good to buy/build/paint/play. The drawback is finding/starting one. Right now finances are saying no to that so I stick to what I have already. I can field four different Bloodbowl teams (human and orc box set, lizardmen and Chaos) so that gives me some leeway with the gf as we both can play. New work orders also might get in the way of time so my hobbying is left to base building.
Speaking of work, I was sitting and looking over the industrial machinery around me and I got inspired. I’ve found open grate in HO scale thanks to railroad hobbyists so my initial hurdle is cleared for trying to figure how to play about in scale. The issue I see right now is the cost to me. If I were to get the same thing done in FDM, as its not something I’m looking to get in “high def” resin, it would be a fraction of the cost. The issue is that I am torn between supporting small business and getting what I want for much cheaper.
Normally I’m not in a quandary over how I get my gaming fix but this does make me think a little. Its the same as when I tried to find sailing block and tackle as to how niche a business might be.
Friday the 13th…. new threat here: https://www.ontabletop.com/forums/topic/unofficiall-weekender-please-move-along-nothing-to-see-here/
