aaargh – i can’t believe in two videos now, even rules-myster darrell has got magic resistance wrong. it improves your ward save as stated – but only against wounds caused by magic! hence it is called magic resistance!
don’t mean to be too mean – it’s a simple enough misread, but it could confuse some newcomers.
Pigeon plucker pendant 😛 sound awesome againts the brettonian flying cirkus!
if they read the comments from last vid they would of figured out why its different
You do understand they made those videos one after another and maybe didn’t have the time to read the comments in between? Even though thumbs up for pointing that out guys, because i.e. I never played the game and am watching these vids to educate myself before starting my own force.
i thought there was a limit to how much points wise a single model could take of magic items
There is, a Lord can take 100 points and a hero can take 50 points. As always some armies may have an exception to thid rule.
I want to try combinate dawnstone with skaven warpstone armour at my warlord at warlitter. For 55 pts you get 2+ rerolable armour save that rebounds with S4 hit at striker if passed? Charge at spear-elves and watch them killing themselfs! 🙂
And Darrell… read magic resistance rule once again.
magic resistence only grants an advantadge against the damage from a magic spell,
it also states in the book that magic resistance saves cannot be combined and if a model has two of these saves it just takes the highest
There is little an error in this video this video around magic resistance. There will be a video on magic resistance later this week that will clarify magic resistance. Thanks Darrell BOW.
“A model can only ever choose one item from each category” course there’s exceptions (special characters mostly). Also; “Wizards cannot choose magic armour” again there’s some exceptions, like when wizards have armour in their standard equipment and an option (like Chaos Armour for the Chaos Sorcerers). Other restictions are that only some one with atleast one level of wizard can chose Arcane Items and only some specificly stated units standard bearers can have magic standards and the only character that can choose one is the Battle Standard Bearer.
People this video and the others were all made and edited before being posted together so if there is a mistake in one it will be in all of them its a shame they got a bit wrong but no ones perfect.
Magic BLING FTW!
Yeah, thanks for pointing the errors in the vid out for us newbies! Just like jakubmb, I’m watching to learn before i muster my own forces 🙂
How could you guys NOT mention the Dragonbane Gem? For only 5 pts, you get a 2+ wardsave against all flaming attacks! 2+ wardsave!! 5 freakin’ points!!!
