I definitely didn’t feel standards in 7th. I play WoC and Chaos Dwarves and with an average cost of 12pts per standard it’s just wasn’t worth it, considering how much of a boost it gave my opponent. I’m not much of a standard painter either, so unless I read something in the new rulebook that blows my mind, I’m likely going to spend my time paining Hobgoblins.
“Mine’s bigger than yours John.” That’s what she said lol, I like standards too… Not going to say anything else and end up like darrel
wouldnt that be HE said? lol and good video guys.
I think your camera burned a pixel, its the odd pixel that can be seen in the area John’s neck is.
What of magic standards? Would a magical BSB be worth more VPs?
not really bs have a fixed points so do normal banners there alot less than last editon now.
I like standards in 8th. That +1 combat res can make all the difference. Not only that, buts its great to make an opponent break from combat and watch their standard get dragged down muahahah.
the main annoce with normal banners is only +1 res for alot of points now with victory gone down there alittle more worth it on your stronger units and i still think archers +banner is only worth it if you have 4+ ranks, With battle standards i always wanted to field like 3 or more and with tomb kings i can only field 1 i sure hope this is fixed because if that 1 standard dies your army crumbles even more. I am going to see Bound Standards all over the place in tomb kings (undying legion and the one that gives you more attacks if you charge). Magic banners are awesome.War banner giving +2 res is wow. are there any more common items for banners now? please let me know can you now, and battle standards allowing so many tests wow so much freedom.
what page does it say you die if you flee with a standard i cant find it anywhere
It is the last stand rule in standards section. However it is only if the unit breaks from combat, not when it flees.
I think banners are mainly going to be useful for taking the magic banners that are now available from the main rule book. Armour piercing, flaming attacks and strider standards are a few magic standards that will really help out some armies. I think normal standards however still wont be popular.
if your battle standard joins the unit he can displace one of the regular command group dudes to the second rank (like the musician). it says that somewhere…
agree with daryll SB is what fantasy is about but i would say that as i like themes and fluff in my armies…..also the idea of losing your SB if you break from combat will be handy especially if they rally as then they are even more weaker without the SB
o3o would this be not the right time to point out my army has not one standard in it
